Marketing is still a bit weird, but it's nice to see more!

How I wish we could have got a Toriyama-drawn 1-or-2 volume manga for this instead of an anime. That illustration brings me joy.

Looks a lot like a GT-like premise, with some very generic character designs thrown in.
Nozawa's young Goku sounded extremely strained in Kakarot, perhaps that's a reason. Since appear to be copying parts of GT, I hope they use adult Goku's voice then as well.

Weird how we got 2 trailers, both with stock music, instead of dialogue or even narration.

Wonder if Glorio looking like Mira is meant to connect this Toriyama’s past ideas

Too bad the original Daima thread is locked and there is no Daima sub folder. I liked what I saw in this trailer.

And yes, wishing is certainly the right word about Toriyama drawing a Daima manga, if it was 20 or 30 years ago.

Interestingly, Kakihara Yuuko is credited both for Series Compositon and Script. If memory serves, Toei Animation doesn't usually advertise the combined credit like that, and it also typically indicates that a writer is writing every episode themselves. I feel like it was confirmed already that other writers are involved, though.

Nakatsuru Katsuyoshi is credited as Animation Character Design, this is also another credit that I don't think Toei Animation uses much if at all. I'm curious to see if that's literally the credit given to him in the credits or if it'll just be the usual Character Design. I do wish the chief animation supervisors, or just more staff in general was made apparent, though.

With three months until the premier I'm curious as to who is going to be selected to be the music composer. These trailers are still using royalty free music without voice overs and sound effects, which leads me to assume that no soundwork has been completed at all. This is typically how things go, but I'm still surprised that episodes seemingly/perhaps aren't being full finished past the animation stage yet. Nevertheless, I am so glad that the series has an extended production schedule. I really am curious to see how many episodes are currently finished and will be finished by the time Episode #1 airs in October.

Why was it locked? I found the lack of a thread really weird, specially in this forum of all places. But again, there's hardly anything to discuss...

There is no need to discuss other threads within this thread. There will be a new sub-section when it's more appropriate and timely to launch it. Please keep all conversation within this thread about this exact topic to avoid the problems that we've seen elsewhere, please and thank you!

I know lots of people on social media aren't into this but I'm glad to see an OG type Dragon Ball adventure

I feel like the villain has to be after the Supreme Kai and is possibility related to Shin? The person in the trailer looks like an older Shin.

I wonder if Beerus got affected by this magic since he's connected to the Supreme Kai, he's probably sleeping but it's funny imagining a Chibi Beerus

Exciting and Weird! I'm noticing a pattern with these trailers XD
Glorio's (think the name is funny) design indeed is very similar to Mira, it can be just a coincidence or inspiration of course, but let's wait.

It says "World" but we actually see more than just one planet in the trailer, we actually get to see 3 completely different places in both the trailer and the image, actually something tells me that what we see here could be the demon equivalent of the Universal Plane where the Kaioshin planet is located, look at the green place in the middle of the image, there are several moons in the background, just like in the Kaioshin Planet (also, a little planet that looks similar to Kaio's planet? Not sure)

Also, wtf? "Masked Majin"? I'm mildly confused, this character doesn't look anything like a Majin to me, unless it's a very skinny one, maybe like Grey Evil Boo, it could be a female too, or maybe the concept of what is a Majin will be reworked? Not sure

If they revealed Gomah but not the Kaioshin-ish Guy next to him, then I believe we can expect that mysterious guy to be something like the real threat.

There is the part showing Kaioshin extending his open hand, which looks like he's about to shoot a ki blast or some kind of power, I know it doesn't have to be this, but considering how we see him levitating in the first trailer, he maybe is going to have a better control over his powers, while Goku won't be able to do anything (First trailer also shows Goku levitating but he apparently can't control it)

Kibito, Vegeta and Piccolo are the only ones to appear on the Kami Palace along with Goku and Kaioshin, I wonder if these three are going to play some role in the story.

Anyway, I'm excited about it but still underwhelmed by the way it's being presented and how it's still lacking voice acting, and we're in Trailer 3 already, it took Super Hero a Teaser and one Trailer to reveal the voices. I really hope there isn't a problem going on there and they're really just not working in the voice acting yet for some reason.

The previous trailer suggested that we could be getting character specific trailers, but this one was just a random trailer, maybe they gave up on the ideia or the idea was just to make a Goku trailer and that's it? Also, there's still the comic on panel on July 25 with Daima stuff confirmed, what are they going to reveal there? Another trailer? I doubt it.

Finally a update on the release date, although everyone was already expecting it to be October, also, I heard that the show isn't going to be a web anime anymore, but a normal TV show to air on Fuji TV, is it correct?
I simply wouldn't want to imagine my life without Dragon Ball, thank you Akira Toriyama (1955-2024), you are now immortal ~☆

Yes; it is planned to be aired in October this year on Fuji TV as a normal TV anime. I guess Toei still cares about the traditional TV market.

I hope Toei will make DB Daima available on streaming platforms after each new episode airs in Japan...

I think that my primary issue—and it's one that I'm not even ready to pass judgement on yet—is that the shots that have been used for Daima in the trailers have been too on-model. That being said, we're already known for forever that Daima was created with being as on-model as possible to capture Toriyama's style, but I'm hoping that that isn't feasible the longer the series goes on and the animation loosens up from the stiffness we've seen in the expressions so far.

Definitely, I'm kinda fatigued with all the pandering to Dragon Ball Z nostalgia, seeing some way of honouring the original series feels like a breath of fresh air, especially with the emphasis on "Great Adventure".

The animation looks gorgeous, I wouldn't be surprised if this became one of, if not the most beloved piece of Dragon Ball content in that regard.

I'm intrigued because it looks like this series will have a cutesy vibe to it, but as we know there's blood I'm guessing it will have that energy without feeling too kiddy.

Blue Star Dragon Balls? Feels like they're directly referencing Final Bout's opening.

Speaking of reference, these planetoids are straight from Dragon Ball Heroes.

Has there been any voice acting for Daima yet? They may replace the cast.

I'm not sure until they release another trailer with the revealed character voices.

Also, if Crunchyroll is going to dub Dragon Ball Daima, I hope they'll bring back the Ocean dub voice cast...

I really can't get myself too enthused about this, and perhaps that's just shallow of me. Nevertheless, being the last work that Toriyama got to contribute to I will take a look at it. I had actually been wondering about the status of Daima after Toriyama's passing until this trailer was released.
