They used his design and colors from DBS Broly, curiously.

Well, although it doesn't look like it, the design of all the characters is with Shintani's art style.

Sparking Zero is confirmed to be at Gamescom in a couple of weeks, expect the Buu Saga trailer to be there. September will most likely have 2 more trailers, DBS and OG themed.

It's an old game now, but Super Smash Bros. Brawl had daily updates for like a year before its release – sometimes it was a fighter reveal, sometimes it was something else (like a move/ability, stage, item, etc.) but there was almost always something completely new.

Still, this is the next best thing and it's good to see Bandai going all in. More fighting games or even just general PvP games could use this kind of marketing.

And Smash 3DS/Wii U had daily pic of the day updates.

Still, it is great to see constant updates for Sparking Zero!

To be fair, we have 34 characters left to reveal. If they keep up the whole Saga theming, then the Buu saga would at most have like 12 new character reveals:

• Gohan (Super Saiyan, Ultimate, Great Saiyaman)
• Shin (Base, Kibitoshin)
• Babidi
• Evil Buu
• Super Buu (Base, Buutenks, Buuhan)
• Kid Buu
• Uub (?)

It's not that many reveals, but that combined with the already confirmed Buu Saga characters (End Goku, End Vegeta, Vegetto, Goten, Kid Trunks, Gotenks Videl, Spopovich, Dabura, Majin Buu) could make for a pretty lengthy trailer. In turn, that would leave 22 more characters left on the roster, which could easily be used for another couple of trailers. The DBS trailer would probably have less new reveals, but still be a longer trailer due to how many DBS characters have already been confirmed so far:

• Jaco
• Cabba (Base, Super Saiyan)
• Frost
• Botamo
• Magetta
• Katopesla
• Ganos
• Obuni
• God of Destruction Toppo

And lastly, to coincide with TGS at the end of next month, would probably be a launch trailer that starts off with the Bardock story before leading into the OG Dragon Ball reveals:

• Grandpa Gohan

It's actually teams of 5, though if you're playing ranked online, teams will be dealt a point system like BT3's DP mode. Stronger characters cost more points than weaker characters, and if I remember correctly, the example they gave was 30 points total. If regular matches are anything like old BT3, you don't have to fill up all 5 slots if you want to.

Geoff talks about a 'new look', which to me sounds like a new playable build (which makes sense).

Make no mistake, MORE than happy to eat crow and watch a Buu arc trailer.

I don't see an issue on having a new trailer next week. These marketing things are made (and planned) months in advance.

Just pre-ordered. Got so angry with Mortal Kombat 1 charging me 60 bucks for 3 characters and a 2 hour story mode that I said, "F that, I'm going to give Bandai Namco 110 bucks and get 150 characters."
