Possible visual/effects style for the new special...

Post by Tenken » Thu Jul 10, 2008 10:11 pm

Ok, I haven't posted here in forever, but with this new short coming out, I figured I would post this (for those who haven't seen it). This came out awhile back and is a good guage for how things will probably look in the new DB special (or whatever it is). I'm sure you guys were the ones who showed me this but maybe someone here hasn't seen it.

I am excited. :D

I've seen that; the artwork's so One Piece meets Dragon Ball. X3

I'd like my colors a little bolder, but other than that, I'm not complaining; Goku looks pretty cool in this.

I do enjoy the artwork, it does look nice. But in my opinion, it's not as detailed as I'd like it to be.

I'd prefer it more like this:

or perhaps like the Budokai openings(not 1).

When Ryo fell through Kintoun I nearly died.

I would love it if the animation looked like that.

Hey, PLS tell me what this is? Where I can get this. I thought there was only a manga like this.

It seems to be some sort of I-Max/3D show in Japan, similar to a lot of the interactive shows as Disneyland. It's pretty awesome, I'd never seen it before. All that I learned from the video description is that the attraction is called "Going Merry" and that it is at "Odaiba" (I'm don't know if Odaiha is a place or an event, but we need to talk Julian into going to it so that he can give us a detailed review of the show). :)

I won't look anything like that, since that wasn't done by Toei. It was done in house by Fuji TV. If anything, it'll resemble the Budokai openings.

I'm thinking it will look something like the Budokai openings.

I hope it's done in the style of the Budokai openings, that would be awesome.

This is relevant to the new special, new enemies or allies?
Here.
No, it's not the blue and red things.

Can we see the full poster, instead of just some parts?

Is that Kid Vegeta ?! It's look like that time travel can really be part of the special after all.

Whoa!, who's that kid above Piccolo in the Saiya-jin armor?

If it's set before Pan's first appearance then probably, anything could happen, like an explanation for why Chichi looks younger, and Kuririn being bald.

I can't believe no one here noticed them before me.

The photo you took is pretty much the reason people are noticing.

We couldn't see the details on the original scan.

It's impossible to tell where this takes place. Kuririn's bald, Son Goku's got his old gi, Yamucha has his old gi, Son Goten and Trunks are there. It makes no sense.
