I agree. Hell I'd even take the terrible Season Two's footage over this any day, let alone Season Three and beyond! The FUNimation Double Features look over 9000x better too.

The FUNi Remastered one actually has more footage on the top and bottom. Is the French release cropped in FROM a widescreen version? O_o

No, the French version is cropped from the same 4:3 version that Funi's is, only the French cropped even more than Funi did. Also, the French didn't add the little bit of picture on the sides that Funi did, so they have less of the picture on the top, bottom, left, and right. :)
