1. I like Drummond better.
2. I like Sabat better.
3. I like both equally.

Moving on.
I am suddenly curious as to which one makes Vegetto sound better.
If we could somehow find a line that that Vegeta and Goku said exactly the same, we could put them together. :D

Aw.

I just checked on the Youtube, and the Ocean dub completely ditched the whole "dual voice" of Vegetto, meaning no Drummond :(.

I have a lot of lines.

1. (about Raditz) What an idiot. How could he let himself be beaten by men with such low fighting powers?!

In that line, he sounds European.

2. It's OVER 9,000!!!

3. I'm having you for lunch.

4. I'll get you for this!... ...You wont escape... MY WRATH!... ...I'LL GET YOOOOOOOOOOU!... ... YOU'RE ALL MINE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Drummond is Vegetto's Ocean voice actor.

After watching that clip, I think Brian Drummond is my new favorite Vejitto.
I know Funi's "duel voice" thing is closer to the original, but I just really liked this.

I looked it up on Youtube too and...I dunno. I don't dislike his voice, but I think I prefer the dual voice.

But, that line about him being destined to destroy Buu just reminded me of that fucking pisspoor excuse to get Goku back. Oh sure, little chickenshit Gotenks can stay fused but Vegetto can't? Bullshit.

I thought the same thing, it doesn't sell the idea of fusion very well, it feels a little off, just like the Blue Water dub of GT, when they did Gogeta.

I really hate the Ocean voice actors...not because of the voices themselves but because of their delivery. A lot of their words are so drawn out and everyone has this Saturday morning action cartoon catchphrase sounding cockiness behind their dialouge. They honestly just sound bored and cliche' to me...and that Megaman music doesn't help much I just want to burst out into a chorus of "Super fighting robots...MEGAMAN!" every time I hear BGM from that show. Which is kind of ironic, many people say Bruce's score sounds like the 8-bit megaman games while the Ocean dub actually goes one step further and takes music from the Megaman cartoon.

Anyway my favorite Vegeta Drummond line is

"Oh...I'll let you go.....TO ANOTHER DIE-MENSION!!!"

after he kills Dodoria, something about how he says that line cracks me up.Oh and the Ocean cast is REALLY bad at grunting. This video sort of explains my point

I admit, his voice did sound really good, but the dual voice is one of the coolest things about the whole fusion thing, so it just feels wrong for that character.

As opposed to the world class grunters in FUNimation's cast, right?

Stephanie Nadolny in particular makes me want to rip my ears off. And we all know how "great" Chris Sabat is.

They both suck do doubt about that but Ocean is worse in my opinion. It sounds like they're bored and emotionless when they do it.

I'm in the generation of fans that started with Toonami, so I totally empathize with the feeling of having "missed the party", experiencing disappointment, and wanting to experience it myself. But I can't, that's how life is. Time is a bitch. The party is over. Kageyama, Kikuchi, and Maeda are off the sauce now; Yanami almost OD'd; Yamamoto got arrested; Toriyama's not going to light trash cans on fire and hang from the chandelier anymore. We can't get the band back together, and even if we could, everyone's either old, in poor health, or calmed way the fuck down. Best we're going to get, and are getting, is a party that's almost entirely devoid of the magic that made the original one so awesome that we even want more.

That wasn't Drummond, though. That was when Sabat was still trying to impersonate Drummond (and failing).

It's not Saban-era, so it's a tad off topic, but Drummond is a beast in this scene.

I actually like Sabat more in this one. He manages to convey the hurt better, I think.

Anyone got a clip of the FUNi version?
edit - found one. http://youtube.com/watch?v=6ItdUd4webY . I like Sabat's "The Saiyan Prince will not fall again!", but the "I did it on a lie" line belongs to Drummond. Easy.
For all the flack that FUNimation gets on this forum for their quote about DBZ, there's some modicum of truth to it: a 9-year-old is born every day. Or in some cases, "reborn". DBZ may be a kids' show, but it's been so close to so many hearts all over Japan, America, and quite possibly, even the world.
Agreed, Sabat totally nailed the "Saiyan prince will not fall again" line.
