Daima will arrive a week late to Max in Latam, on October 19, so you can edit the post.

As of writing this post, it looks like France, Spain, and Germany are the only countries where other companies scheduled to simulcast DB Daima will be competing against the official Crunchyroll simulcast.

Also, Crunchyroll's "Territories" lists of where they'll simulcast their anime appear slightly vague and confusing. If they mention "Europe" on their lists, what do they mean? Every European and Nordic country? Or just European countries and not Nordic countries?

Maybe the solution would be to subcategorize by region? Then if there are more country-specific announcements they will be placed under the relevant continent or subcontinent. For example if a TV deal is announced for the Phillippines or Singapore it will be sub-listed under Southeast Asia, New Zealand for Oceania, etc.

We can probably count South Africa because it was listed in a previous announcement before being changed to the name of the continent. Similarly "Indian Subcontinent" was announced before "South Asia" so that should include India.

That way list of announced territories, as it stands would work out like this:
  • Africa: October 11 (Crunchyroll)
    • South Africa: October 11 (Crunchyroll)
  • Europe: October 11 (Crunchyroll)
    • France: October 11 (ADN) / October 15 (Mangas)
    • Germany: October 11 (ADN)

  • Latin America: October 11 (Crunchyroll) / October 19 (MAX)
  • Oceania: October 11 (Crunchyroll)
  • South Asia: October 11 (Crunchyroll)
    • India: October 11 (Crunchyroll)
  • South East Asia: October 11 (Crunchyroll)

Noob question here, but, what happens in Italy on the 11th? I mean, do we get the Japanese version with subs? Or should I look into black magic VPNs or something if I want to actively avoid a dub? I wouldn't even know where to start, to be honest.

I wrote an article on this. The first 3 episodes of Daima will be screened at the Lucca Comics and Games convention in Tuscany. It will be the Japanese version with Italian subs.

As far as I'm aware an Italian dub of Daima has yet to be announced. Its possible its in production but nothing has been announced as of yet.

Come to think of it, the con will be in November, but Crunchyroll has announced "Europe" for October 11th, which begs the question will that include Italy? You'd think unless otherwise stated it would, but that would make the con feel a bit redundant unless there will be a separate subtitle track from what Crunchyroll will presumably simulcast with.

Well, for specific cases where they have premieres in other platforms than Crunchyroll, I decided to list them separate.

But now, on second thought, I'm gonna re-format the list for a better presentation and organization.

Indeed, this is why I asked "what should I expect on the 11th", even if I did see your aforementioned article about Lucca, sorry if I haven't been clear. I'd just like to know which legal options I have to see Daima as soon as possible, in Japanese (English subs would be ok for me).

Tooniverse will air Daima subbed.

Anyone know some Korean? I don't, but from the looks of things they'll begin airing it next month.

I'm not Korean, but I translated this part below.

Original (Korean):
<드래곤볼 다이마 (자막)>
10월 19일 (토) 밤 10시 첫방송
English Translation:
< Dragon Ball Daima (Subtitled) >
First Broadcast on Saturday, October 19 @ 10 PM [KST]
It looks like Tooniverse will air DB Daima 8 days after its original Japanese premiere with Korean subtitles.

Thanks, I'm hoping this broadcast does well.

For those unaware Tooniverse did the third Korean dub of Dragon Ball Z, for which episodes 144, 178, 180, 184-185, 187-189, 192-199, 218-236, 238-244, 246, 249-250, 260 are still missing.

Korea tends to always redub content often, apparently because its cheaper for channels to produce their own dub than license another. So we could potentially see multiple dubs of Daima.

Thanks! I'll add it right now.

For the moment, I'll put it into "South Korea" until there's announcement that Crunchy or another service will premiere the series in the whole Asian continent.

Daima will be streaming in Netflix on October 14 in Asia, and globally on October 18.

It looks like Crunchyroll will have the exclusive simulcast but Toei licensed it to Netflix with a week's delay.

That's very interesting. Can't think of many instances where an anime is on both Crunchyroll and Netflix. I wonder if globally really means every country? Daima is also on ADN. I wonder if we'll see multiple translations.

Edit: it does seem like Daima will stream everywhere in the world:

I hope they'll add several dubs!

This is amazing news, now Daima will be available to the widest audience possible.

TOEI is really going all out with licensing Daima to streaming services with Crunchyroll, ADN, Anime Box and now Netflix.

And yes I'm hoping for lots of dubs too, especially in languages Dragon Ball has never been dubbed in before.

Yes it also looks like they're not stopping the franchise with Daima either. Can't really wrap my head around how they've been able to make all these deals. It's really uncommon for a rights holder.
