That could just be the names from the Custom Battle mode, they have tons of character namesRinsankajugin wrote: Fri Oct 11, 2024 3:47 pm Just a heads up, it seems like someone datamined the game and uncovered code for cut characters who were supposed to be on the base roster.

Oh yeah, I know custom mode has a bunch of names of character's not even in the game, but that list is for characters specifically listed in the character code. Trust me, if it had NPC names listed, characters like Bulma, King Kai, and Belmod would've been on the list too, but they're not.Bardock God of Time wrote: Sat Oct 12, 2024 10:43 am That could just be the names from the Custom Battle mode, they have tons of character names

With all the talk I heard about Ohzaru Vegeta being impossible, I have to say I had more trouble dealing with Super Buu and Buutenks as Ultimate Gohan.
Also, about Buutenks, that mother can regenerate. I dont know how but twice I saw he was low on health and suddenly he had two more Health bars. Now that's what I'm talking about, Buu being an actual pain in the ass not just because he is strong but also because he is genetically broken.

It won’t surprise me if Namco Bandai use ChatGPT to write most of the dialogue in custom battle mode. Some of them feel a bit off.

That's insane, so much work went into the game. I wish they had different priorities tho, I would have rather lose some movie guys than Super 17, Basil or Lavender, just to have the roster feel complete which it doesn't do in base. What a shame.Rinsankajugin wrote: Fri Oct 11, 2024 3:47 pm Just a heads up, it seems like someone datamined the game and uncovered code for cut characters who were supposed to be on the base roster.

I find it odd that the DLC won't be out until January. You would think they would have it by November or December at least.

In my honest opinion, I would prefer lose Android 17 (Super) rather than Android 13 to include Super 17MisteryOne wrote: Sat Oct 12, 2024 9:01 pmThat's insane, so much work went into the game. I mean, a lof of variants are unnecessary, so they could have added more unique characters instead of the same characters over and over

I would’ve preferred switching out Daima Goku in the base game with Super 17. We already have 18 other versions of Goku, and that’s not even counting Black or the fusions. As I said before, the GT roster just feels incomplete as it stands.

Only the idea of it, to be fair.
It plays completely differently. Well, the dialogues and motivation.

Found a Super manga reference today with 17's victory quote when he fights against Cell Junior. These are so few and far between but always a pleasant surprise.

Except for some things like the titles of episodes, it's actually simple: all of the available dialogue is taken straight from the rest of the game, especially all of the story mode subtitles (including the what-ifs), with the added function to replace some elements.Hellspawn28 wrote: Sat Oct 12, 2024 6:45 pm It won’t surprise me if Namco Bandai use ChatGPT to write most of the dialogue in custom battle mode. So if you find a sentence that feels off, know that it's actually used somewhere in the "regular" game outside of the custom mode, pretty much none of the sentences were made exclusively for the custom battle mode.

If you play on PC there is a skin already out for OG Goku with his OG costume, unlike the horrible one we got in the game, its amazing!
Re: "Sparking! ZERO" Official Announcement, Pre-, & Post-Release Discussion Thread
Although I prefer Toppo vs Top I'm surprised Sparking Zero went with Toppo. Usually the games stay pretty consistent with names as they are said in the anime.

The custom battle creator is really an incredible asset to this kind of game. PVP doesn't interest me at all so it is great to create and play new story or challenge missions. That said the way to search terms is absolutely abysmal and is sorely in need of an update. There is a wide selection of sentences is but it is incredibly difficult to locate the terms you want to use. It does not help that nothing is alphabetical as it is based on the original Japanese -- there should just be a way to text search.
I also understand the game isn't cross play compatible but you would think this feature would be a way to connect everyone.

Its extremely easy man, you have the game on steam?
Re: "Sparking! ZERO" Official Announcement, Pre-, & Post-Release Discussion Thread
I have no idea what to do to unlock Jiren's sparking ending. I beat The Defeated and Ultimate Climactic Battle in succession in the default difficulty without letting the cutscene trigger and I still get the Absolute Strength ending.
Re: "Sparking! ZERO" Official Announcement, Pre-, & Post-Release Discussion Thread
^ I think you're talking about the secondary condition that tells you to beat everyone starting from a certain battle and until the final one?
(It's hard to say from the titles you give because my game's in French, so the titles ring no bell in my memory...)
I wouldn't know how to help you in a regular way, but if you're willing to use a Dragon Orb and you've already unlocked the other paths, the good news is: using an Orb will leave the condition seemingly untouched in the pause menu (which worried me for a sec), but it actually lets you access the alternate path by just succeeding the one final battle in Normal mode instead of having to win several previous battles.
But be careful, if you still have two different alternate paths to discover in the same battle (this is the case for the final one in Jiren's episode), you can't be sure which one the Orb will open up for you with a regular win. But from my own experience, if you just have only one path left to discover for a specific battle, it should trigger it automatically by just winning the battle in Normal difficulty without any condition attached. Worked for me to access Jiren's final alternate ending.
Spare yourself some trouble, use the farming method to gather Dragon Balls quickly (1P VS CPU match, Tournament arena with out of bounds, character with a beam and a capsule to start with extra ki, Mister Satan as the opponent, blast from the beginning - finishing him off in a 10 seconds if he does avoid the ring-out somehow) then say to Shenron you want something to unlock a Sparking episode.

Aren't you just supposed to beat him before all the dialogue?Yuji wrote: Mon Oct 14, 2024 7:40 pm I have no idea what to do to unlock Jiren's sparking ending.
