Discussion - with various Kai rescores about, what's your favourite way to experience the show and why?

Kai and music, eh. There are a number of great fan projects around in addition to the original Yamamoto and Kikuchi replacement scores for Kai, for very good reasons. To my knowledge the various complete ways to watch Kai include:

[*]OG Yamamoto + Yamamoto Revival (SuperSaiyanHedgehod) for episode 54 onwards
[*]Official Kikuchi Kai replacement score
[*]Kai Kikuchi Revival (IHaveNoUserName)
[*]At least two Faulconer rescores (Diccolo420 and ShenronEyes)
[*]Diccolo's combo rescore using multiple composers

What's everyone's go-to and favourite among the content that's out there, and why? What's the closest to a definitive Kai that we have?

For me, the only one I've watched a great deal of is Yamamoto Revival, which I thought was a strong project.

I really loved the episodes of Kikuchi that PeteOfDawn and BladeXRG did and for those episodes that do exist they're easily the best way to enjoy the series for me. I'd love to add to what's there myself at some point because those really were fantastic. For me, Kikuchi is still the true path, especially for consistency in moving from Dragon Ball into the Z era.

What I saw of Kai Kikuchi Revival may have been in the earlier drafts of that project as from the few episodes I looked at I noticed things like silence where it shouldn't be and tracks that weren't cut to match the scenes, but maybe I should give it another go now that I believe it's finished. It definitely gets massive points for being the only complete Z Kikuchi Kai project.

I haven't seen much of the Faulconer rescores or the combo rescore outside of clips, but I'd consider one of those for my next viewing.

Thanks for replying, I will check it out. The Falconer score is one I haven't watched in a long time, not since I switched over to watching in Japanese. It does have a special place in my heart so hearing it again through Kai should be fun.
