Wow. That's...a long time.
Hello! My name is Milton! And I've been gone a long, long time from here.
I'll keep it short (for now, anyhow)...I decided to dust this off after starting up the Kanzenshuu Podcast farewell to Toriyama-sensei. But how many of YOU have done the same?
Has anyone else found themselves coming back to the Kanzenshuu Forum fold? What brought you back? Why?
I haven't lurked yet...this is my first post back, so I hope to get more acquainted with everyone and everything new here.
And Mr. EX, apologies in advance if this isn't cool...I'm just a tad excited to come back.

No, this is great! I’d love to hear stories. I’ve heard and seen a bunch of people rolling back in due of course in part to Toriyama’s passing and more recently Daima. Absolutely cool and encouraged to share stories about where you’ve been and what’s new for your fandom!

Re: Old Members Coming Back
Yay, back in the saddle!
For me personally, I forget when I was last here. I think I stepped away from the fandom in general for some time for my own health and wellbeing; social media and forums consumed me at times, and fandoms in general are toxic as heck. That said, the DaizEX/Kanzenshuu group has always been a good one...I remember the members being excellent to each other.
My tl;dr - I'm now married, a dad of two boys and currently going back to school for my Master's in social work after a long career in residential group homes. To say it's been a long, strange journey is an understatement. And yet, throughout all of it, Dragon Ball has been there with me - whether it's the people I've met and cared for at the different programs, the merch I've purchased here and there, the ending and return of Abridged happening at key moments in my career, or even the unexpected influence I've had on my dearest friend from high school trying and falling for the manga...it keeps going.
And now, here it is, 2024...we've lost Toriyama-sensei. It felt like the right time to listen to the podcast once again, and now it's led to here. I haven't yet watched Daima, but I now have two boys who are curious in checking it out. They (and even my wife) have been slowly getting into the franchise in general thanks to "Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero" and the dub of Kai. They recently raided my gashapon collection after I found it in storage - there was a time when I might've been mortified by the idea of parts getting mixed up. But now? I had to smile the other day after seeing a headless Goku in his Yardrat outfit sitting on my oldest's desk.
Anyway, I could go on and on with stories and opinions...but that's what the forum sections are for! I hope to stick around and chat with y'all for a while. Just no power-level discussions...please, for the love of god, none of those...
