Goku Kitchen in New York City

Now here's really awesome place to visit should you ever be in New York City. I went there today, and it's pretty much a love letter to the franchise.

Gotta dock them for having no Oolong Tea, though. Anybody else encountered Dragon Ball themed restaurants?
Yamcha: Do you remember the spell to release him - do you know all the words?
Bulma: Of course! I'm not gonna pull a Frieza and screw it up!
Master Roshi: Bulma, I think Frieza failed because he wore too many clothes!

There was a DB-themed restaurant in Orlando, Florida called Soupa Saiyan. Never been there before but I do recall seeing images and clips of it. Soupa Saiyan was renamed to a different name because of "Saiyan" in the name (trademark violation I believe) and I believe the same would happen to Goku Kitchen for the same reason.

Anyway, if I were to go to NYC for a trip, I would come to that place and ask for Pu'erh Tea or delicious ramen.

Love how they used the Hong Kong Chinese edition as a wallpaper backdrop. Lol!

Looks like it just opened a year ago.

It's been nearly 6 years since I was in New York but if this was there at the time I would have been all over it.

Nerdy themed mom and pop restaurants have definitely been a growing trend as of the last 5 or so years.. It’s pretty cool to witness honestly, there’s one here in Philly as well. Have yet to actually get around to trying the food myself though.
It's not too late. One day, it will be.

Not explicitly Dragon Ball theme but my favor local ramen joint has a pretty dope Dragon Ball Z mural on its wall connecting the dining entrance to the bar

I was in New York City this past January. Wish I had known of this place back then, I would have made a point to find it.

It looks awesome.

Visited NYC in April 2023, so just missed this. If I ever go back I'll visit for sure!
