Ngl, gave up on this crap webcomic when it did stupid shit with my boy Janemba to make the huge loser Namekian look "cooler"
Like the plot forgetting how portals work just to let him hit Janemba, or the Dimension Sword being able to be caught bare handed (in a setting where the cringe science sword cuts through anything, why is the magic sword that cuts space not as sharp?)
Then he pulled Soul Punisher right out of his ass.

Extremely lame fight with awful choreography despite using Janemba.

You know, as cool as I might find XXI to be, he's just not a DB character. He feels too serious, menacing, and even grandiose for DB's genre, appearing more like a big, cosmic villain from Marvel or DC than Shonen. He's pretty much a full-on Galactus/Unicron parallel at this point, and I don't think it meshes too well with Toriyama's style.

As much crap as GT & Super get from some sections of the fandom, they still have that DB spirit about them that is not afraid to be intense, but is still also willing to be casual & zany at the same time. DBM seems to be creeping a little too far past the story that it is based on into something else.

I still click on the main website periodically for the new pages,I never necessarily check this thread for updates exclusively.

That said, I only even check in when I do because I’ve been following it since I was 15, I’m 32 now and it’s mind boggling that I’ve been following a freaking fan made webcomic for 17 years!! It’s been going Longer than the actual series’ original run lol that’s crazy. I definitely thought we’d be done with this by now or in the very tail end at most. The whole Majin Bra fiasco was already 2-3 years ago, which in itself is crazy to say out loud.

But yeah, Gast is seemingly about to lose to XXI by being absorbed. So I’m not completely sure what’s gonna happen next outside of maybe one more rampage, this time by XXI and him having to be stopped by Vegetto, Bra and Gogeta. Or they’ll have to find a way to invite Boo back to help fight magic with magic.

Here's how I'm thinking things play out:

• Very long final battle against XXI where Gogeta & Vegetto will team up and save the day

• Gast gets de-absorbed and is given the final slot in the tournament

• Goku loses a very close fight to Gast, calling back to the franchise's theme that there will always be someone better

Give or take 15 specials and I think that's the series.

Wiki says Salagir places Ultimate Gohan at the same tier as SS Bra and Base Vegetto. I'd assume they're as strong or just a tier above, at Buutenks and Buuhan tier.

I was just thinking I can't believe I have been reading this crap for 16 years myself. lol. I forget about it for a few months (sometimes a year) at a time then randomly think about it and go catch up. I don't even really know what I think about it anymore. the fact it's still going is insane to me though, and that is impressive. Honestly I hope it wraps up soon. I don't think I've ever went back and read it from the beginning again, just I started reading it in middle school and always started back where I leave off. it seems like the never-ending journey. it ran longer than the original series did and outlived 2 full anime sequels.
