Being able to create infinite stories with the Custom Battles can keep this game alive for a loooong time!
This is what the Budokai Tenkaichi was always all about except the story mode: maximum of characters to toy around with them imagining your own stories!
And now, you can go as far as creating cutscenes and dialogues to share infinite stories!

Never forget: the Custom Battle mode is THE revolution of this game when it comes to Dragon Ball games and THE thing that would keep anyone on the game for a long time!

Over time, we wouldn't need anything more from the devs than to "feed" this mode with new possibilities by adding to the game nothing more than:
- new costumes regularly!
- new stages regularly!
- new characters regularly! (will already be the case with the announced DLC, but more non-fighting guests for cutscenes would be nice too!)

Spend hours creating fun episodes with your favorite characters/forms, and you've got content for the next months/years just with this mode!

As someone who also loves the Mario Maker: Dragon Ball Edition Custom Battle mode, I'm chomping at the bit for the first DLC wave. I wish it came out in December instead.

Battle Hour can't come soon enough.

Had a feeling. I am over here in Los Angeles and it's looking like things may get worse before it gets better. Crazy times.

SH trailer is out. 11 characters.

- Gohan
- SS Gohan
- Ultimate Gohan
- Beast Gohan
- Piccolo
- Ultimate Piccolo
- Orange Piccolo
- Giant Piccolo
- Cell Max
- Gamma 1
- Gamma 2

Firstly, they should have been in the base game.

Also no new stages is disappointing. This game has too few, they couldn't add the RRA base?

These characters should've been in the vanilla game. The lack of Super Hero's Pan is the biggest crime.

The game is great, but yeah, moving forward, if they don't add more stages things will get boring. Not getting any SH stages is discouraging, I guess Daima will get their own stage, if it doesn't then it will suck.
Although, I can see why no new stage, the big fight took place at a sort of wasteland, but if XV2 added it, why not a brand new PS5 game?
They could add the rain at least.

Also, no Goten and Trunks? I know they were hardly relevant but I thought their addition would've gotten as closer to their GT skins.

Does anyone notice a weird issue in which after the second time (and so on) you boot Sparking Zero the Bandai Namco and Spike Chunsoft splash screens don't appear? Or is the game programmed that way? I have the PS5 version of Sparking Zero and this happens to me every time I boot the game from the second time onwards.

I thought for sure that we weren't going to get Giant Orange Piccolo in the DLC, so i'm glad he's in.

Eleven characters is a decent number, I thought they would give us 7 characters tops because they said over +20 in 3 installments, so I figured 7 characters each.

There are two other DLCs coming. The 2nd one will be Daima, but what about the 3rd one? I doubt Daima will get two DLCs, there aren't that many characters so far, and how would that even work? introduce 10 characters and make us wait 2 months for the rest? kinda dull...

If it's not Daima, then what could be the 3rd DLC about? missing characters from GT, DB, DBS and maybe the movies?

It's probably 2 Daima DLCs. Assuming they're also 11 a piece:

1. SS Goku Mini
2. SS2 Goku Mini (maybe gets cut)
3. SS3 Goku Mini
4. Vegeta Mini
5. SS Vegeta Mini
6. SS2 Vegeta Mini (maybe gets cut)
7. SS3 Vegeta Mini
8. Glorio
9. Tamagami 3
10. Tamagami 2
11. Tamagami 1

That's already a full 11. Even if you assume they cut the SS2s, since these games usually do although SS2 has been quite prevalent in Daima so far, that still leaves Piccolo, Shin, Majin Doo and Majin Koo. If you cut Piccolo and Shin, that's the full 11 again with Doo and Koo, but that's only up to ep 14. The final villain is yet to show up, characters like Abura may have flashbacks with movesets, we may find new characters, maybe the Mega child could be a giant character, maybe there's new transformations, etc.

I think not having DBS/EOZ Goten, Trunks, and Pan is a big let down. If we had Goten and Trunks, we could get their EOZ and GT outfits later down the line. Also not making Beast a transformation for "Adult" Gohan is a dumb move.

I can't wait to buy DLC characters that have been in Xenoverse 2 for almost a year.
These should have been in the base game and feel like old news.

Daima DLC Predictions (SPOILERS):
Hoping they go all out for a Classic OG Dragon Ball DLC, with new maps and a storymode with what ifs for OG DB

It's already confirmed the last two packs of season 1 are both Daima.

I mean It's probably still fine for what kind of game this is. But the hype was so unreal and so constant, that the numbers that it got on the first day of sales were ridiculous. So the drop off seems a lot worse than it probably actually. The numbers sound about right for an anime battle arena.

I personally was just waiting for them to fix the Save Bug issue and release DLC 1. I'm coming back to playing it when DLC 1 comes out
