You know, thinking about the final parts of The Boo Bits where Bulma asks in EoZ if Goku and Vegeta defeated Freeza or not, I imagined something in the future in GT where Goku says "Not this crap again..." when Pilaf turns him into a kid lol
Are we too old to enjoy new Dragon Ball movies/series?

Guys, I'm going to be straight with you. If you feel the show has gotten 'silly' ... it hasn't. You're just 'too old for this shit'. Seriously, 95% of the people in those boards do not fit the target demographic of the show, so don't expect the show to be 'everything you hoped for'. I'm referring to the people here who expect Super to be rich with dark moments, serious storytelling, meaningful characters etc etc. It won't. It's a show for kids. A show for kids being kids. Everyone in those boards has a manchild in him/her, clamoring to get out, and that's fine. But having unrealistic expectations (such as believing the show grew up alongside you) is naïve at best. Honestly, do you take seriously a story where the supposed God of Destruction halts his urges to blow up stuff in order to eat ice cream sundae? That's the show's silliness at full force, take it for what it is. The show hasn't matured one bit, so don't expect it too. Again, I'm not saying that's a bad thing. I'm saying *that* is DB and always will be.
Not sure if it's intentionally or not, but a joke quote from Kuririn (TFS EP39) got used in a similar way on Dragon Ball SD Chapter 106:
(So when Trunks' destroyed most of Gero's lab without giving a warning to the others)
TFS: "You're definitely Vegeta's kid"
SD: "As you would expect from Vegeta's son."
I think there are even more instances of similar jokes in SD, like I remember after defeating Raditz, Piccolo threw Gohan against a rock. While in the anime he fires a ki blast to destroy it, in both the TFS and SD version Gohan just collides with that rock and gets hurt.
Could all be a coincidence, but how knows, but maybe Ooishi watched some TFS?
So, MarzGurl went & made a documentary video on the Vic Mignogna drama from the last 6 years. If you haven't seen it, I'd suggest doing so. Make some time for it, or watch it in chunks, though, as it's 11 hours long since she goes into as much granular detail as possible. That being said, in the DBZA Creator Commentary video on the episode where Freeza says, "Super Saiyan? What IS that? What even IS that?" Lani and Kaiser, though leaving out the name, telling the context on that say that the person said the exact same thing about TFS at a con in 2010 because they had a bigger panel room than him. Taka later gave the name in HIS creator commentary stream with the same episode where he said it was Vic.
I know that Vic eventually became ok with TFS (as he did a TFS Broly line in his voice for the character when a fan asked back in 2018), but damn his ego.
The epic tale of how Sean Schemmel blocked me on Twitter:
I tagged him in a thread explaining how his performance wasn't rerecorded when FUNi were redoing parts of the early Z dub for the Orange Bricks.
He thought I was misrepresenting his work by saying he wasn't in something he was in.
I explained how that wasn't the situation & did a bit of a sarcastic kinda thing involving the rerecordings FUNi did for the Z dub to show how stupid that was.
He said they didn't record him & not use his recordings.
Blocked & he deleted his response tweets to me.
???
Profit...?
Anyone who's ever watched both Team Four Star and Devil Artemis has been wanting the 2 to meet for the longest time, and now it's finally here to celebrate the end of many years of "Perfect Cell VS" episodes from DA, and to give a sendoff to TFS Cell as well.
So, I thought to note this in case no one knows about it. Back in 2023 iirc, there was stuff going around about TFS quietly letting Christopher Niosi/Kirbopher get away with his allegations of emotional abuse. I don't remember there ever being a follow-up to that here, so here it is.
Kaiser addressed it in that they quietly privately parted ways with Niosi after those allegations came out & he only made that knowledge public when the person trying to call TFS out was doing so to explain what happened.
However, this gets deeper. That person trying to call TFS out as a result of ShadyVox (co-creator & VA for Yugioh GX Abridged) trying to get TFS in trouble because of beef he has with Little Kuriboh. Or, at least that's what I've just read through a post LK made on Tumblr from last year. Shady basically turned out to be such a dick with how he's treated xthedarkone & LK. It's so dumb. https://www.tumblr.com/shadyvoxtruth/73 ... login_wall
So, yeah, not trying to start drama, just letting the people here who care know.
