I don’t know if it’s only me, but after the recent patch I found a lot easier to unlock certain what-ifs. I remember being stuck for weeks in Piccolo vs. 2nd form Freeza, and this week I managed to beat him in time. It seems they balanced defensive skills and the CPU has become a little bit less aggressive? Freeza was beating the shit out of me, but this time he got what he deserved.

This is probably a well-known fact in the community, but how do we even get the Dragon Balls? I have cleared Goku, Vegeta and Gohan maps, but no Dragon Ball has ever appeared. Is there any special condition?

They're obtained at random during offline/online versus matches. If you're asking how to farm them, though...

I'm more upset about not knowing the proper conditions for unlocking some what-ifs. XV2 had you unlock the hidden conditions after playing/failing it a couple of times, "defeat under 8 minutes", "defeat with such and such attack", etc. Something like that would be nice, "defeat 2nd form Freeza within 35 seconds or with 2 and a half health bars remaining", "defeat Cell and Trunks in 40 seconds", I don't find out I've unlocked it until the next fight lands... you shouldn't play with a timer by your side.

^ Aren't the conditions written? If I remember well, looking at the story map and the fight's info, it tells you what it wants you to do as a special condition, even though it stays vague like "defeat XXX in time" when it would be nice to have a proper timer letting you know when you've failed and you'd better retry right away.

The quickest way I found online and did myself was to have a match against Mister Satan as a CPU with the lowest difficulty setting, choose the World Tournament with "out of bounds eliminations" activated and make it so that you have a character that can immediately throw a special beam attack (thanks to capsules equiped on this character to start with more ki).

As soon as the battle starts, beam him out of the ring to have a victory (even if it fails sometimes, you'll still make quick work of Mister Satan). Repeat the fight like this over and over, preferably with good music in your ears to pass the time, and you'll gather the Dragon Balls from time to time during the numerous victory screens. Plus, your number of "mastery stars" for the characters will quickly go up while you're at it, even though it brings nothing but bronze, silver and golden icons for the character you use and "master".

If you ask Shenron for a Dragon Orb (I think the sentence says "more stories" or something like that), using the orb on a specific battle will make it so that replaying it will automatically unlock a what-if branch the next time you win that battle. Watch the length of the line on the mini-map to know if you'll unlock just a quick alternate ending sequence (small line that doesn't go out of the mini-map) or a full new chain of events (long line that seems to go out of the mini-map).

It’s written as a secondary objective after you manage to succeed first at the main objective. In my experiences, some what-ifs required dodging certain attacks and then defeating the enemy as quickly as possible. If I got hit, even beating them quickly wasn’t enough.

You mean SSJ2, he didn't turn 3 in the series yet ( and I have a feeling he won't just to keep the mystery of Vegeta 3's unusual hair  )

And I also feel like one way or another, Goku will get a new form in the series as he does in every DB (counting Oozaru for classic)

I'll be shocked if Goku doesn't use SS3 in Daima.

I'm more expecting Goku and Vegeta to fight together in SS3 then use Bug fusion personally then a hypothetical new ss4.

Finally got around to buying the season pass and got the Super Hero DLC pack today. Played around with Gohan Beast for a couple of rounds and went back to bed. It was 5 in the morning.
The world is your's.

My idea for a GT pack:

1. Baby (child)
2. Baby (teen)
3. Baby (adult)
4. Super 17
5. Two Star Shadow Dragon (Haze Shenron)
6. Three Star Shadow Dragon (Eis Shenron)
4. Four Star Shadow Dragon (Nova Shenron)
5. Five Star Shadow Dragon (Rage Shenron)
6. Giant Five Shadow Dragon
7. Six Star Shadow Dragon (Oceanus Shenron)
8. Six Star Shadow Dragon Transformed)
9. Seven Star Shadow Dragon (Naturon Shenron)
10. Giant Seven Star Shadow Dragon
11. Ledgic

Outfit: GT Vegeta for Vegeta (end)

They should patch the game and make SSj4 Vegeta a transformation for Vegeta (end). Buu saga and GT Vegeta are much the same character.

General Rildo and his forms would be cool too, especially the last metallic one. It's so underappreciated in games and I think he would have cool dialogue potential with the likes of Androids, Metal Cooler and Cell.

Yeah, after today's episode, I don't think the Ginyu Force ripoffs (I keep forgetting how to say and spell their team name) are going to make it into DLC, but I could be wrong. They might want to stretch the Daima characters for all their worth as DLC since we won't be getting an anime or movie for a while. And they would have interesting interactions with the Ginyu Force. I think a good compromise is to make Kadem the only playable member with his team assisting in his ultimate. But it's starting to look like the next two Daima DLC's will have:

1. Mini Goku (SSJ, SSJ3)
2. Mini Vegeta (SSJ, SSJ3)
3. Mini Piccolo
4. Majin Kuu
5. Majin Duu
6. Gomah
7. Glorio
8. Goku/Vegeta or Goku/Piccolo or Goku/Glorio fusion
9. Majin Kuu and Duu fusion (maybe)
10. Tamagami One (maybe)
11. Tamagami Two (maybe)
12. Tamagami Three (maybe)
13. Panzy (maybe)
14. Mini Shin/Nahare (maybe)
15. Degusu (maybe)
16. Shin/Nahare (maybe)
17. Kadem and his team (maybe)

We already know Mini Vegeta and Glorio are coming. Also, all the maybe characters don't seem like shoe-ins because of their minimal role in the series. Like, Degusu hasn't even fought or used any big techniques. Then again, Babidi's in the game so who knows? But Shin isn't even in the game (at least from what I remember) in his adult form so it's be weird to have Mini Shin, but not adult Shin. Maybe, Degusu can assist Gomah as an ultimate if they include his base form. And Degusu's interactions with Zamasu would be interesting. But the Tamagami barely have personalities. Then again, same for characters like Kid Boo and Hirudegarn. And the Tamagami would maybe have interesting interactions with Omega Shenron. As for Majin Kuu and Duu fusing, we still don't know if that will happen for sure. I think Panzy is likely because she can fly and can use her ray gun or whatever as an ultimate. And adding another girl character makes sense. And Glorio's going to be in the game despite not doing a whole lot.

I'll update this again when the finale of Daima airs and we have a full picture of what the roster can be, but all of the bolded characters already match the Super Hero DLC character count of 11. And those are all who I think are most likely as DLC.

But we also know Daima is getting 2 DLCs so the maybe characters have a high chance of making it into the game after all.

Bra off hype has done more than Babidi so I could see her playable. Depending on Dlc and potential sequels go.

It would be nice to have the Third Eye as an item that could be used by others. But this game doesn't have the feature, not even with the halo, and it'd require to design an inexistent form. I know there were made up fusions back in the day, but by now that ship has sailed.

One thing that has surprised me is that I haven't seen any videos on youtube reenacting anime fights. XV2 had a lot of youtubers faithfully recreating the best bouts of the show even when many forms weren't in the game. I thought, by now, and with the option of creating your own battles, Youtube would have been flooded of it, but nope, nothing.

Question, how do you guys feel about mods for Dragon Ball games? Sparking Zero's had them from day one, but one of the biggest is DBColorZ, which lets you make a hundred recolors for any and all characters you want in-game. Even NPCs like Chi Chi, Bulma and Shin.

Man, I wish this was an in-game feature and not a PC-only mod. At least it works online.
