Dragon Ball Manga The Audio Adventure

So hi everyone! I fan dub Tokusatsu shows on Youtube and recently I started fan dubbing the Dragon Ball Manga. I call it "The Dragon Ball Manga Audio Adventure." Using a combination of my real voice and AI voices, the plan is to dub the entire Dragon Ball Manga!

The translation used is the VIZ English dialogue, and in addition to this, I've also added some "Dub" terms were appropriate. So the line "Have a taste of the Nyoibo!" is now "have a taste of the Nyoibo, the Power Pole!" for example. I understand some folks won't like this but English speakers will and I feel both sides get a share of the Pie this way. As of this writing I've produced two episodes so far, chapters 1 and 2.

More will be produced. So with that said please feel free to enjoy, comment, and properly critique my work both here and on my Youtube channel if you wish. (At the moment I only have access to AI voices because I'm currently a solo fan dubber) Here is the link to the episode playlist:

Episode 1's resolution got ruined as I was still experimenting with the panel sizing. Episode 2 will reflect how future episodes will look. (Hopefully with better clarity though)

With that said let's have a little discussion:

1. Why am I doing this?
A. Because I want too lol. But it is an wonderful excuse to bring Og Dragon Ball to the masses without incurring a copyright strike from YouTube. (I wish I could fan dub the series but I don't know the rights so that is fair) In addition it allows me to test the limits of AI voices which helps me as i am a One Man Fan dubber at the moment. (Recall this project has my voice and AI voices)

2. For me the Manga is so much more fun to look at in color. I've never liked the black and white of manga personally. The colors just pop here don't they.

3. With this third video I was able to make the pages look clearer I feel. But if anyone here knows to help me get the best out of these pictures please share your knowledge with me.

I liked this episode because I got to voice act a bit in this one. ( I know everyone isn't into AI voices but for someone like me who is a One Man dubbing team, having extra voices is a God send. Making them emote properly is another issue entirely...) Plus doing the Roshi laugh is crazy fun! Yes I may interchange the names Kinto'Un and Flying Nimbus because I wanna reach both JPN Dub fans and ENG Dub fans.

In a strange way I think the AI is getting the hang of being Goku. (I like the voice) Oh God it is learning! The dynamic between voicing Roshi and the Turtle is fun but sadly short, sort of a missed chance to have those two banter some more. Almost requires a parody dub for the Manga...

Anyway, I think adding the Anime images alongside the Colored Manga panels is cool. While editing I couldn't help but compare Toriyama's art to the Anime's art, which looks fantastic at this point within the series. (Both art styles) We still have a ways to go before the art goes funny. I will continue to add the Anima panels next to the Manga panels.
