Actually that was Peter Kalemis who pronounced the attack correctly, and that was only in the Pioneer dub of the first three movies. Ian Corlett was the first English (adult) Goku, Kalemis came second after him, and before Schemmel who was third to do the voice.

Corlett rules, but Kalemis for the most part really blew, with the sole exception being the original Pioneer dub for Movie 2: World's Stongest (Guy) the only piece of English DBZ I've ever heard that even comes close to capturing Nozawa's general vibe and attitude during fight scenes.
Oh well I guess I got them mixed up because they do sound sort of similiar, but the first three movies by Ocean are my favorite and the music in The World's Strongest is simply amazing.

Dunno what Kalemis put in his Wheaties when he did that movie, but he totally kicked ass.
I actually have to agree with all of this. He was really great in movie 2, not so great in anything else.

Though, I actually like Schemmel best of English Goku voices, though Corlett is one of my favorite voice actors (wish he'd have stayed on. . .)

Wow, I tried to be nice and said something about the Ocean music like "I like FUNi's a little better, but the Japanese even more. Then again, I didn't grow up with Ocean; I'm sure I'd be saying the opposite if I did." Something like that; then my comment gets deleted, and my page gets:

"hey dipshit why bother showing your careless message on my video, fuck you and fuck funimation!

fucking cocksucking twat!"
For all the flack that FUNimation gets on this forum for their quote about DBZ, there's some modicum of truth to it: a 9-year-old is born every day. Or in some cases, "reborn". DBZ may be a kids' show, but it's been so close to so many hearts all over Japan, America, and quite possibly, even the world.
I'm in the generation of fans that started with Toonami, so I totally empathize with the feeling of having "missed the party", experiencing disappointment, and wanting to experience it myself. But I can't, that's how life is. Time is a bitch. The party is over. Kageyama, Kikuchi, and Maeda are off the sauce now; Yanami almost OD'd; Yamamoto got arrested; Toriyama's not going to light trash cans on fire and hang from the chandelier anymore. We can't get the band back together, and even if we could, everyone's either old, in poor health, or calmed way the fuck down. Best we're going to get, and are getting, is a party that's almost entirely devoid of the magic that made the original one so awesome that we even want more.

No, all his other comments were like that unless they agreed with Ocean.

Wow, must have been one of those Narutards.

But really, that sucks. At least we can all come here and discuss our opinions in a civilized manner, most of the time.

It's not Saban-era, so it's a tad off topic, but Drummond is a beast in this scene.
Drummond sounds ok, but don't like Buu's voice and I have the feeling Goku wants to use his wind tunnel or optic beams at Buu.

You guys forgot the "do you understaaaaand?" quote. lol. Maybe my sense of humor is juvenile, but I still chuckle when I hear it.

Recently I have been really down on Schemmel, his Goku just sounds so, unnatural or something. I never use to have a problem with it, but for some reason recently I just don't like listening to it.

Also I seem to be having this problem with Sabat's Vegeta too.

Peter Kelamis Voiced Goku in the android saga up to the Cell games I think. I am not entirely sure. I really like Peter Kelamis in World's Strongest, I haven't watched Tree of Might in English in ages so I can't remember. As for his stuff on the show, I have no Idea as I own no episodes from that point (by ocean that is) so I can't give a good comparison.

Kelamis did him the the video/dvd dub while Corlett did him in the tv dub.

I have all of those episodes on 'uncut' VHS. If my beloved Surfer Goku had reemerged during the time I watched them religiously, I think I would have noticed.

I meant on the Canadian Uk Dub, not the American Dub.

Also, Didn't Kelamis do Goku's voice for a couple episodes near the end of the namek arc?

Kelamis started in around the episode where Goku needed to repair his ship in space.

I gotta say, this one scene alone could very easily have just won me over. I may prefer the Ocean dub, just because of this.

The music fits way better than Faulconer's score here. And usually, I hate the Ocean music.

Eh. I thought the Funi music and voices were better in that scene.

Its times like that where I feel that what aired in America from Season 3 onward was just a fandub made to replace something we had lost.

*sigh* Yeah, I really wish they would have done the whole series here in American sometimes. Is there any way to get all the Ocean episodes...?
Trans rights, now!
