Oh yeah, that'd be neat! Maybe add Combined Pilaf, Arale, and Devilman Spike as well. I also hope we get some other newcomers from the OG series as well, such as...Hellspawn28 wrote: Sat Feb 08, 2025 6:27 pm If they do a pre-Z era pack, my idea for a line up:

This is a great mod, but unfortunatelly after it was released, the mod community became a place with very crappy mods filling the Internet with bad creations like "Dark Goku" that has black eyes and red head and it does absolutely nothing. The Internet pages with mods are filled with crap like that and it hurts, in my opinion, those mods who are acutally worth something. You want to look for some good mods? You have to scroll through crappy edgelord creations and lazy recolors that are trying too hard to be cool.FPSSJ4_Goku wrote: Sat Feb 08, 2025 2:11 pm Question, how do you guys feel about mods for Dragon Ball games? Sparking Zero's had them from day one, but one of the biggest is DBColorZ, which lets you make a hundred recolors for any and all characters you want in-game. Even NPCs like Chi Chi, Bulma and Shin.
But other than that, I must say that some mods are better than official releases.

I love this mod, and most others. I've done a series of mod videos for this game, it's been a fun time:FPSSJ4_Goku wrote: Sat Feb 08, 2025 2:11 pm Question, how do you guys feel about mods for Dragon Ball games? Man, I wish this was an in-game feature and not a PC-only mod. At least it works online.Spoiler:

Nice! I remember these from past Sparking! games. Especially that color swap for SSJ4 Gogeta.FPSSJ4_Goku wrote: Sat Feb 08, 2025 2:11 pm Question, how do you guys feel about mods for Dragon Ball games? I am not a huge fan of alternate colors such as these as they are more suited for classic competitive fighters,
but I did like how Spike went extra mile with full fledged alternate costumes, or things like Uub's alternate costume looking like Goku's orange Gi with the same boots (definitely a nod to Neko Majin manga).
Sparking! ZERO is great but it feels like the presentation got priority over content, as it feels severely lacking.
That Broly challenge got boring fast. Bring back those extra modes from past games instead. Adding survival mode into the game shouldn't be that much of a problem

It sucks that Botamo and Magetta couldn’t make into the game. It’s like they’re stuck in gacha hell and none of the fighting games want to touch them. Same for Basil and Lavendar.

If we ever get a Sparking Zero 2, I bet we'll see more fodder characters. My hope is we get the whole ToP RosterIntangibleFancy wrote: Mon Feb 10, 2025 12:52 pm It sucks that Botamo and Magetta couldn’t make into the game. My hope with DLC is we get a big expansion for OG DB that brings the BT3 OG DB characters + new comers like Ninja Murasaki & Adult Chichi

If they ever plan on doing some DBS DLC, I'm sure they'll be a part of that. In fact, I think they could probably fill up an entire season with missing DBS characters.IntangibleFancy wrote: Mon Feb 10, 2025 12:52 pm It sucks that Botamo and Magetta couldn’t make into the game. Re: "Sparking! ZERO" Official Announcement, Pre-, & Post-Release Discussion Thread
Are there any Z characters we are still missing? aside of the EoZ versions, that is.
The game could keep on going for ages with DLCs, if they want. DBS, Z movies, GT, DB... maybe a new movie. And if the anime comes back, we could get those, too.
SZ2 could only happen if the manga arcs ever get animated, and that's like in 3-5 years at the very least, shit, probably that's the waiting time to have the anime alone, if at all.

Base Garlic Jr, Dr. Raichi , Hatchiyack, Zangya, Tarble, Abo/Cado and their Fusion, Chilled, SSJ Bardock, Ozotto (technically a Z-era character).Koitsukai wrote: Thu Feb 13, 2025 9:05 am Are there any Z characters we are still missing? aside of the EoZ versions, that is.
Re: "Sparking! ZERO" Official Announcement, Pre-, & Post-Release Discussion Thread
As far as missing characters from past Sparking/Raging Blast games go, there's also Appule, Selypa, all the remaining Ozaru, Kaioshin, Kibitoshin, Paikuhan, Coola's henchmen, #14, and #15.Xeogran wrote: Thu Feb 13, 2025 12:00 pmBase Garlic Jr, Dr.
Then there are others who haven't even been playable in these games yet, like all the other Z Movie henchmen, the rest of Bardock's team, Garlic Jr.'s henchmen from the filler, Olivu, the other Afterlife Tournament contestants, Kibito, Yamu, Pui Pui, Yakon, Boo after absorbing the South Kaioshin, all the other Kaioshin, and Hildegarn's first form.
Then there are the "maybe kind of stretching it" picks. In DBZ movie 1 adult Chichi and God do a little bit of fighting too, so they arguably count. Enma could be fun with a "Check-In Station" stage, so we can finally play out him taking down Raditz. There are also the Kaio, at least the North one. The two aliens from the Fake Namek filler. Mr. Satan's students from the Cell Games filler. A 'Mighty Mask' transformation for Goten and Trunks? We have a generic Freeza soldier, why not a generic Bobbidi soldier? Mr. Popo 'fights' Goten and Trunks in filler. Maybe Hoi from DBZ Movie 13? If we count Resurrection F as a "Z Movie" (which it technically is, but is also clearly a part of the revival era which might specifically not be what's being asked about), then there's Tagoma, Sorbet, Shisami, and arguably Jaco.
I could keep going (and probably forgot some good ones), but I gotta stop at some point.

Bio-Broli is not even making either of these lists...I think it safe to guess that most of the BT3 characters will return aside from the Oozaru but we will how long they can keep interest in this.

Re: "Sparking! ZERO" Official Announcement, Pre-, & Post-Release Discussion Thread
If I remember correctly, dataminers said that there's dummy files in the game for every missing BT3 rep except for Arale for some reason. The list also included some DBS characters like Jaco, Tagoma, Champa, Vados, 1st Form Frost, SS1 Caulifla, Future Mai, Basil, Lavender, Brianne, Sous Roas, Sanka Coo, and most surprisingly enough, Zeno, the Grand Priest, and their tall nameless assistant. You'd think those last few would just be NPCs, but the list does NOT include the game's other NPCs (Bulma, Tournament Announcer, King Kai, Vermoud, etc...).Makaioshin wrote: Thu Feb 13, 2025 3:02 pm Bio-Broli is not even making either of these lists...I think it safe to guess that most of the BT3 characters will return aside from the Oozaru but we will how long they can keep interest in this.
Also I believe there were some weird categorizations, such as Nail being listed under Piccolo, Cell Jr. being listed under Cell, Super 17 being listed under 17, and the other Shadow Dragons being listed under Syn Shenron. And an interesting note, that SSB Kaioken and SSB Evolution were at one point going to be their own playable transformations, GT Vegeta supposedly having more than just SS4, Yamu was going to be his own character (for some reason), as well as Gohan Black and his forms also having special animations when selected on the roster as well as unique VS dialogue.
If you take all of those characters into account, that's at least 2-3 seasons of DLC right there.

Not really. I guess Supreme Kai and and his fusion with Kibito. Pikkon is also missing I think. Personally, I hope we get DLC packs focused on DB & GT after Daima's packs release.Koitsukai wrote: Thu Feb 13, 2025 9:05 amAre there any Z characters we are still missing? aside of the EoZ versions, that is.

Guess SS2 is getting the short end of the stick now. We're getting base, SS1, SS3 and SS4 for the Mini forms.

If Vegeta doesn't get Ssj4 next week I can see them giving him Ssj2, as he did actually fight in that form against the Tamagami.Yuji wrote: Sat Feb 15, 2025 1:47 pmGuess SS2 is getting the short end of the stick now. We're getting base, SS1, SS3 and SS4 for the Mini forms.

You can bet on SS mini Goku going SS2 for his ultimate i.e. DB Legends. But yeah, I doubt it'll be its own selectable form.

In terms of missing Z era characters from BT3, it’s a couple of movie henchmen and some filler characters like Paikuhan and Selypa, as well as Garlic Jr’s base form, Great Saiyaman #2/Great Saiyawoman, Appule, King Vegeta, Kaioshin, and most of the Great Apes. If you count RB2, then there’s also Neiz, Doore, #14 and #15, Hatchiyack and Tarble.
Of course, the big loss here is the lack of pre-Z characters. I’d argue the lack of characters like Arale and Nam aren’t terribly surprising, but since they included pre-DBZ Goku, they should’ve at least included Piccolo Daimao as well.
In general, I’d say there are three characters whose absence makes this game’s base roster stick out like a sore thumb: Piccolo Daimao, Super 17 and SS1 Caulifla.
On another note, I’ve always found it amusing that Bio-Broly is apparently seen as taboo to include in any of these console games. I know the movie isn’t popular, but even BT3 didn’t bother with him.

They'd probably put Oolong in as a playable character or Puar before they ever add bio broly.

If they plan on supporting this game long term like they've done with Xenoverse 2 and Kakarot, then they'll eventually get to Bio-Broly. If it ends up getting more limited support like FighterZ, then he may not make it in.Android 50 wrote: Tue Feb 18, 2025 4:42 amThey'd probably put Oolong in as a playable character or Puar before they ever add bio broly.
