Zamasu saw even with 1,000 years the mortals didn't change. Zamasu only saw the worst in mortals, he didn't see the good that they do.
Zamasu wanted the universe to be a paradise, however the method that he chose was evil and was corrupting him. Lets not forget that Future Trunks time travel also pushed Zamasu idea to destroy mortals.
Overall Zamasu is a good villain and he even knows that he can't reduce the number of mortals to zero, since he has Goku mortal body.

Re: Super or Daima
I think my favourite part about Zamasu is the fact nobody takes him seriously, both in the anime and the manga. It would be easy to fall into the enlightened God trite but everyone makes it clear he's not worth listening to, they repeatedly ignore him/cut him off or literally punch him mid-speech. The fact Zamasu is so self-masturbatory that he keeps monologuing even while nobody is hearing makes him endearing.

I like Daima over the first half of Super, but not the other half. Both are pretty good shows with both their ups and downs.

Re: Super or Daima
Alright, time for me to vote: as I expected, my preference goes towards Super.
Daima's last few episodes weren't bad at all, but as you would say, "too little too late".
Super did have its share of slow episodes, but I liked it better overall. Daima was mostly made of slow episodes, only to end up rushing potentially interesting things. Daima's plot with decent pacing would probably outclass Super, however.
The worst part about all this is that Super and Daima had the chance to belong in the same continuity instead of contradicting eachother. At that point we wouldn't need to vote "Super or Daima", they could have been a cohesive story from the start, but no. That's what happens when you write a midquel after a midquel without proper planning.
Let's hope they can move on from EoZ now, there's only so much that can be crammed into "10 years of peace".
