From the article:
Voice actor Tōru Furuya stepped down from the roles of Sabo in One Piece and Tōru Amuro in the Detective Conan in June, after Furuya acknowledged a May report by the Weekly Bunshun magazine regarding an affair he had with a fan
That's an understatement to say the least- The affair was only the beginning of his crimes.
They're probably just going off of his official statement and only that.
I honestly find it kind of hilariously ironic that there isn't some gigantic movement of red-pilled, anti-woke idiot douchebags doing some kind of #IStandWithToru campaign the way they did with Mr. Vic Proven Sex Predator Mignogna. I mean, I've seen a small few people here on Kanzenshuu doing a bit of pathetic hand-wringing about it and trying to steelman Furuya, but it isn't ANYWHERE NEAR the level of the old Vic debacle. (I'm sure there's probably a good few on Twitter, especially with how much further to the right that place has become on average since the... acquisition... but I was barely ever on there even before the idiot billionaire Apartheid baby manchild took over, so I wouldn't know lol)
But then again, Western Dragon Ball fans (American ones in particular, I would know...) on a whole sadly generally don't give much of a shit about the Japanese side of Dragon Ball to almost any degree, so I'm sure that also has a good bit to do with it. Who knows. I'm just glad it's not spiraling into complete and utter degenerate chaos like that Funi fiasco did and it at least seems like cooler heads are prevailing on this one.

I think it's to protect themselves form potential lawsuits because their hasn't been a trail where he was proven guilty yet.

Perhaps, but this is why news reports like this often use the term "allegedly" and "accused'. It is weird to not bring it up at all.

Is it still his voice acting in Sparking Zero? Or was it replaced? I know he didn't voice him in the first 2 eps of Daima.

Yes, Furuya is credited in Sparking Zero for voicing Yamcha.
Dragon Ball was always a kid series and fans should stop being in denial.
