Does Raditz deserve redemption?

Discussion, generally of an in-universe nature, regarding any aspect of the franchise (including movies, spin-offs, etc.) such as: techniques, character relationships, internal back-history, its universe, and more.

I am from Spain and I have read the manga in Spanish translations, but in my manga editions, soldiers said they wanted to "have fun" with her and later, Bulma said (after Goku killed them) "they only wanted to touch me" (in Spanish). They have intentions of some kind of sexual crime, obviously, but not rape. Your translation may be different than mine anyway. I wonder why you typed Blooma by the way.

Toriyama's also not gonna actually have Vegeta and Nappa rape a bunch of earth women so Vegeta quickly shoots the idea down because he doesn't want offspring more powerful than him. But it should be clear from Nappa and Vegeta's characterization that consensual sex was not a concern of Nappa when he suggested they breed an army of Saiyan/Earthling hybrids
About Nappa not planning consensual sex, I disagree. Vegeta mated with Bulma being a bad guy. He was still a bad guy then and he didn't care about Bulma and Trunks, because he put them on risk with his Big Bang Attack against Dr. Gero and when Future Trunks said he should protect them, he said he didn't care.

Vegeta was evil and he didn't love Bulma then, only he mated with her for whatever (mainly because it was needed for the plot). If Vegeta can have consexual sex being as evil as he was then, Nappa too.

About consensual sex not being a concern of Nappa, I agree. However, I think Vegeta didn't care about consensual sex either. But he didn't rape anyone because it was a shonen and rape in shonen doesn't happen because is a taboo.

And Nappa said something about mating, and mating does not involve rape necesarily.

We can see other sexual crimes in shonen that are also illegal and immoral in real life, for example touching an unconscious woman's breasts or body in general (Like Mutenroshi did with Lunch after Goku knocked her, or with Ranfan). However, rape is a red line and never happens in shonen, at least in DB. Not only it didn't happen but the concept of rape didn't exist in Dragon Ball Universe. Toriyama never insinuate it. At least, after reading the whole manga in Spanish, this is my opinion but the issue may change if you have read the manga in other language.

I guess we need to read the original Japanese manga to solve this.

He may not deserve redemption but i would like to see Raditz as a regular Villain swearing revenge against Goku and Vegeta perhaps reviving Nappa both working together trying to defeat the Z warriors perhaps allying with Frieza
