Dragon Ball now available for digital purchase and streaming on Fandango at Home (Vudu)

Toei has recently announced that all the Dragon Ball series and movies (except Daima) are now available for digital purchase and streaming on Fandango at Home (formerly Vudu).

For DBZ, it includes, for the first time, the original U.S. replacement background music (Nathan Johnson for episodes 1-67 and Faulconer Productions for episodes 68-291) to streaming viewers by default. The dub is the "Remastered" FUNimation in-house dub from the Orange Brick DVDs, which has the partial redubbing (mostly in "Season 3"; the redubbing stops at some point in the Artficial Human/Android arc or Cell arc) and uses the wrong track placements of the Faulconer Productions music in episodes 68-291.

It's available in both 16:9 and 4:3; I assume the footage used is the same one used in Crunchyroll. And, unfortunately, it's dub-only.

EDIT: Sorry, I confused aspect ratio with resolution quality. Also, it says "Fullscreen". Therefore, I'm assuming it's the DBZ Orange Brick DVD footage.

I would highly recommend the Seed of Might color corrected release for anyone interested in the classic series (DB, Z, & GT), as well as their movies and TV specials. Funimation's releases are honestly an insult to anyone who's a fan of this franchise.

Indeed. I checked the other Dragon Ball series and movies on that site, and only DBZ Movie 3 (I'm not sure if this is an error), GT TV special, DBZ Resurrection F, DBS Broly, and DBS Super Hero are available on Fandango at Home (Vudu) in their original Japanese versions. The rest are English-dub-only.

I understand the vast majority of dub fans prefer the replacement score or don't give a shit one way or the other but paying the same price the physical season sets went for to not get the option of the Japanese audio or English dub with Japanese music is kind of crap. ETA: I noticed for original Dragon Ball they want $45.99 per season? Christ that's more than double what I paid for each Blue Brick back in like 2020

Not that it negates your point but Hulu now only has Kai (which is a mess with random episodes being the Nicktoons broadcast version instead of the home video version) and Daima.

Ah fair enough, I wasn't sure whether Dragon Ball was still on Hulu in the US. Still, for Kai and Daima that's a lot better than what's on offer here for the original anime trilogy and movies.
