Was Dragon Ball Daima better if it had these?
If in parallel to the Dragon Balls hunt, they were to face:
* Bojack and his crew before they leave the 3rd Demon Realm. The pirates (who already appear to be Demon-like in design by Akira Toriyama) ambushed them, knocked them unconscious and brought them to their local slaves market with handcuffs that neutralise their ki. Bulma is sold to a demon, which brings Vegeta to lose his senses and go berserk and break free; he fights the pirates and releases the gang as he does that. Bojack and his crew are being taken care of for good as everyone were afraid of them.
* The heroes crash-land on a planet full of ruins of an ancient civilization in the 2nd Demon Realm. They encounter Hoi, who present himself as the sole survivor of a great catastrophe. He lures the heroes to help him with nullifying a forcefield that keeps a music box inside the temple. He opens it and releases Hirudegarn whom is revealed to be the reason for the destruction of the planet. Hoi takes Panzy captive to use her as a human shield and reveals that he is the last of the evil warlocks who crafted this being, who was taken down by an effort by the ancient Glinds, who locked it up, not knowing that Hoi has survived.
* In the 1st Demon Realm, Degesu who wishes to be the Supreme Demon King yet lacks in strength, brainwashes Janemba the top crime lord of the Demon Realm as stated in "Legacy of Goku III: Buu's Fury", to be his muscles and snatches the Dragon Balls that the heroes collected, only to lose and go down harsher than he had in reality.
Edit: negative comments aside, I've took the path which canonized stuff that fans wanted for years like Super Saiyan 3 Vegeta and Super Saiyan 4, to check things out.

This sounds like really bad fan fiction...

This sounds like something out of Super Dragon Ball Heroes, so no.

This is what you can expect from fans who grew up on Super and Heroes.

For some real feedback here:
The elements could be interesting on their own, as rewritten versions of previous stories and antagonists, but it would be leaning way too heavily on rehashing old content, in a series that already does too much of that, in a revival that thrives on rehashing stuff to begin with.
I would have rather got more interesting, unique stories than what we got.

I've started watching Dragon Ball in 2000 with the 23rd Tenkaichi Budokai Saga.Vegeta th3 4th wrote: Thu Mar 13, 2025 8:22 amThis is what you can expect from fans who grew up on Super and Heroes.
