Fat boo/Pure Boo/Evil Boo/Buff Boo

Discussion, generally of an in-universe nature, regarding any aspect of the franchise (including movies, spin-offs, etc.) such as: techniques, character relationships, internal back-history, its universe, and more.

Fat boo/Pure Boo/Evil Boo/Buff Boo

Post by Geridos » Thu Mar 13, 2025 2:47 pm

I wonder if people even understand this obvious thing:

Fat Boo is most of Pure Boo's power, while Evil Boo is most of Buff Boo's power. That means that Fat Boo is weaker than Pure Boo due to Dai Kaioshin's influence, while Evil Boo is stronger than Pure Boo but weaker than Buff Boo due to South Kaioshin influence.

I am asking it because I never saw anyone who states it directly like that. This is also an answer for the ones who say Pure Boo > Evil Boo because the latter has the Kaioshins affecting him which is not true because South Kaioshin was never said to weaken Boo but was implied to make him much stronger.

I see what you’re saying, but Super Buu wasn’t completely free from Dai Kaioshin’s influence either. He was still being held back somewhat because Fat Buu was inside him. That’s why, when Fat Buu was removed, Super Buu powered up into Buff Buu.

So while I agree that South Kaioshin made Buu stronger rather than weaker, and that Super Buu was above Pure Buu, he still wasn’t at Buff Buu’s full power until Fat Buu was removed. In that sense, Dai Kaioshin influence is still a factor in how these forms scale.

Evil Boo is most of Buff Boo's power.

I don’t disagree that Super Buu has most of Buff Buu’s power, but the issue is that we don’t know exactly how much of it he retains compared to Pure Buu.

Both Pure Buu and Super Buu have some portion of Buff Buu’s strength, but without an explicit statement or numerical measure, we can’t say definitively which one is stronger just from this fact alone. What we can do, however, is look at external evidence, like how Goku evaluated his chances against them. He seemed to believe that he could beat Pure Buu but wasn’t confident against Super Buu, which implies Super Buu is stronger.

So while I see your point, I think we need to consider more than just that when determining their relative power levels.
