The English dub dropped today
Yamcha: Do you remember the spell to release him - do you know all the words?
Bulma: Of course! I'm not gonna pull a Frieza and screw it up!
Master Roshi: Bulma, I think Frieza failed because he wore too many clothes!

Re: Dragon Ball Daima Dub Releases Thread
From the clips I'm seeing, the Daima English dub's looking like it's turned out very well. Some quality dubbing here. Why it wasn't a simuldub, I'll never know.
Only dubs that matter are DB, Kai, & Super. Nothing else.

Do Schemmel's screams all have to be animalistic roars surrounded by echo effects?
Re: Dragon Ball Daima Dub Releases Thread
I'm honestly kinda surprised they didn't just have Monica Rial still do Kid Bulma. Prior to Bulma she was actually best known for doing cacophonic little girl roles and thats still her bread and butter outside of that character.
It's sorta like how they have a voice actress as southern as Cynthia Cranz and still don't make Chi-Chi talk like a hick

Re: Dragon Ball Daima Dub Releases Thread
Watched the first English dubbed episode. I enjoyed it.
Sean Schemmel, Chris Sabat, etc have long shown they can give great performances, Doc Morgan's narration as always was beautiful, Tom Lafiin, Landon McDonald, Morgan Lauré and Garett Schenck's voices for the new characters were good too.
I'm apprehensive about further episodes since I'm not a huge fan of Stephanie Nadolny, and of course she's playing the lead role, but I really hope she'll prove me wrong and give us her best work yet.

I'm looking forward to her return. I always thought with better scripts & direction, she'd be great.Dragon Ball Ireland wrote: Sat Jan 11, 2025 2:21 pm Watched the first English dubbed episode. I enjoyed it.

Looks like Spanish fans have contacted Dasara Producciones and are still eagerly awaiting a native dub of Daima.

Re: Dragon Ball Daima Dub Releases Thread
They did indeed. Its worth noting these dubs were on Crunchyroll and according to two sources Dragon Ball Daima is coming to Cartoon Network India soon, which could mean redubs in all three languages.TheRed259 wrote: Wed Mar 26, 2025 5:48 pm For the record, the Hindi, Tamil and Telugu dubs have ended a few days ago.
No doubt if Daima airs on the channel it will also get Malayalam and Kannada dubs as all Dragon Ball content that has aired on Cartoon Network India over the last 3 years has been dubbed in those languages.

Re: Dragon Ball Daima Dub Releases Thread
The Persian dub of Daima is on Iranian streaming service Funofilm.
Also worth noting there are technically two versions of this dub as from what someone I know who checked it out heard Goku and a few other characters may have had some lines partially redubbed by other actors.
There was also another Persian dub on Navama but it seems to have been removed now.

If the Korean dub can have the opening dubbed, why can't Crunchyroll do the same with their English dub?

Re: Dragon Ball Daima Dub Releases Thread
Basically, more often than not, it's up to Toei and/or the record label to allow international parties to dub them. Though it's gone back and forth in recent years and been on a case-by-case basis, openings and endings simply aren't allowed to be dubbed. Either that, or international parties don't want to bother with the hassle and red tape of dubbing them (especially when many people don't like to have them dubbed in the first place). For the record, Dragon Ball Super was one of the last hold outs in the English dubbing industry to dub the opening and endings, so it's not surprising they didn't do it for Daima, whether or not they were even allowed to.TechExpert2021 wrote: Sun Apr 20, 2025 5:19 pmThat's great to hear!TheRed259 wrote: Sun Apr 20, 2025 4:17 pm The Korean dub of Daima started today and to the surprise of many Jaka Jaan was dubbed!

That said, glad to see that at least one dub of Daima is keeping the tradition alive! Did they dub the ending too, can't seem to find it if they did...
