Great news for all us Dragon Ball Daima fans, and perhaps a new, exciting chapter in Dragon Ball's history with Nickelodeon, but the show has been nominated for the Kids' Choice Awards 2025.

This is huge news as it is being nominated alongside some iconic mainstream cartoons like The Simpsons and SpongeBob SquarePants.

Exclusive: Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards Reveals Animation Nominees of 2025

Billed as “the biggest party of the summer,” the Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards 2025 show is scheduled to take place live from Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, California on Saturday, June 21. Kicking off at 8 p.m. (ET/PT), the KCAs will celebrate fan-favorites across film, television, music, sports and more in a surprise-filled event hosted by Grammy-winning multiplatinum superstar Tyla.

Ahead of the full nominations announcement this morning, Nickelodeon gave Animation Magazine a sneak peek at this year’s nominees in its Animation categories!

These are great news.

It's a shame that Daima is unlikely to win because the cartoon award has been usually rigged to go to SpongeBob, which I don't hate but I'm tired of it getting the award almost every year.

Still, this nomination means a lot. It says how much impact Daima has made among the younger audiences.

I wonder if Nickelodeon could buy the TV rights for Daima, at least in countries where the series has not aired yet.

Maybe if Paramount Global ever gets interested to acquire it for Nickelodeon CEE (Central & Eastern Europe), since that feed covers most of the territories where Dragon Ball hasn't had any local presence like Latvia, Georgia and Ukraine.
