I apologize if this doesn’t belong in this sub forum, I just wasn’t sure where else to ask about this. The general Legends thread seems to be more about gameplay and gotcha pulls, and I have a very specific thing I want to pontificate over.
Don’t read on unless you’re current with the Legends story, I suppose -
What is the deal with Giblet’s tail? We see Shallot’s tail all of the time. It’s very visible. It even changes color. But we have yet to see Giblet’s. We even see him from behind and not only does he not have a visible tail, his pants don’t even seem cut to accommodate one.
What are the implications of this? Was he born without a tail? That would feed into the lore about him being stronger then Shallot ever since they were little, but would that mean some Saiyans even back in the day were sometimes born without one? Is that a plot point?
Or did he lose his tail at some point? Like he transformed as a child and someone had to cut his tail off to stop his rampage. What would the implications of THAT be? How does Saiyan society view those cases? How would Giblet feel about it?
Or maybe Giblet DOES have a tail and we just haven’t seen it. Like the mystery of Bulla’s tail? Does she have one?
Is the lack of tail ever going to be a plot point or is it just Toriyama not liking tails and refusing to draw one when he was designing the twins? But the Devs wanted Shallot to have one so he gave one to Shallot but not Giblet because he doesn’t like tails?
I will admit I’m salty. I like Saiyan tails. I think they are cool. Bring back the tails. They are the most recognizable and unique thing about being a Saiyan and it’s lame U6 didn’t have them.
Also why would the devs name him “Giblet” when “Scallion” is RIGHT THERE? It just sounds better! Call him that instead!
Ok I’ll shut up now.
