Re: Should Daima get adapted into a manga ?
I think fans know that GT, Super, and Daima are each their own isolated project that continues the original story in their own way. If anime fans can follow them despite each being their own thing, then surely the manga fans can as well.

^ A certain number of anime fans that roam online like us, yes. The rest that doesn't consult info online and just follow the shows are still like "so, Daima happens right before Super, right?" and "so, Beerus has gone back to sleep and Goku and Vegeta are done training with Whis in GT, huh?"
But I guess you're right after all, since Japan does release Heroes-related manga volumes and it doesn't seem to be troublesome, so...

Daima kind of fits in the Super timeline IF you watch it after Battle of Gods, but before Resurrection F. Vegeta hadn't done the ritual yet so he managed to unlock Ssj3 after getting a taste of that power while protecting Bulma against Beerus. Ssj4 has the same shade of red (kind of) that SsjG has, so that could be looked at a failed experiment on Goku's part to access SsjG again without the ritual. I know it's not the perfect explanation, and that the show was made as its own thing, but if you must include it in Super's timeline, that's one way of doing it.Cold Skin wrote: Tue Jun 24, 2025 4:18 pm ^ A certain number of anime fans that roam online like us, yes. ^ Nice attempt at an explanation, I like it!
But I'm still fine with both being separate personally, it doesn't prevent me from enjoying both, as they both feel like legitimate Dragon Ball to me and I like both!
I still think an Anime Comics is a given: they did it for GT which is three times longer than Daima, so an Anime Comics of Daima wouldn't make many volumes to produce, wouldn't require someone that knows how to draw, would be filled with the pretty colors and might bring money from customers!
But if they have something like Toyotaro continuing Super while another author adapts Daima (like the one doing Dragon Ball SD or that Yamcha spin-off maybe), I'm not against it! (Toyotaro wouldn't be able to tackle two manga releases at the same time, obviously) That would make two full-fledged continuities to follow as a manga!

I feel like the ship has sunk on that, kinda too late and I find it absolutely hilarious that Shueisha didn't order a Daima manga despite having Naho Ooishi already working for them. Who is not only an expert DB artist but a chibi artist at the same time.
Absolute lol when it comes to managing this franchise

Re: Should Daima get adapted into a manga ?
I would love to see Toyo's take on it, especially fixing/clarifying the timeline issues with Neva, Katatz, Kaioshin etc.
The connection to Super can also be done, if he wants to or if required.
But at this rate it should have started already - likely Shueisha is not allowed to at the moment
Another indication is that Toyotarou barely addresses Daima at all. For example at the time of the Broly movie we got monthly drawings related to characters from the movie and giving his thoughts how things could fit etc.
For Daima, he did a Goku (Mini) and a Goku/Vegeta (Mini) in late 2023 ... and technically also the Popo with horns in the table of contents of Vol. 24 earlier this year and that was it, right? During the Daima broadcast at the end of 2024, he reposted scene from the DBS manga where Muuri explains to the Namekian kids, that they come from another realm.
Even if there's no Daima manga, at least having drawings and comments from him about the new characters would be nice.
I wouldn't mind Ooishi doing something with it, but at least she is still busy with DBSD.

Re: Should Daima get adapted into a manga ?
Personally, I actually would love it if Daima were adapted in the manga, for multiple reasons:
A) It would be additional manga content. Considering we've been in a hiatus, I feel like most people would take any content over no content.
B) You guys have already mentioned it, but I love seeing Toyotaro's take on certain stories. Seeing what he could do to flesh out the overall story of Daima would be great to see.
& C) I just like the manga to feel as "complete" as possible. Even though a few of the movies were skipped / glossed over because Toyotaro had either done them already or didn't feel the need to retell those stories, I liked that he took the time to tell the entirety of Super Hero, it made everything just feel a bit more complete imo.
