Looks like it's just paper bags and packaging for now. No further details until November 14th. Gonna be a China-wide promo and not just Hong Kong. Japan's in on this from what I've heard. Why isn't this happening in North America?!

There was also a commercial tie-in last year in Taiwan so I guess McDonalds in Asia is taking more of an interest in Dragon Ball.

I always wondered why (arguably) the world's largest fast food chain didn't do anything with the series at its height in western countries. I still remember you could get grey figures and cards at Burger Kings in the US back in the early 2000s.

Never mind...didn't really look into that post on xiao hong shu but apparently, it's not China-wide. It's just Hong Kong confirmed to be going McDonald's so far. Masako Nozawa definitely recorded some lines for this McDonald's cross-promotion so this is going to Japan as well.

There has never been any cross-promotion with Dragon Ball and any other fast food chain in Canada so Canadians are very behind.

Update: Just found this post on Chinese social media site xiaohongshu that reveals more details on McDonald's upcoming cross promotion with Dragon Ball Daima. Looks like there's a limited time combo and McShaker Fries dedicated to Dragon Ball Daima. Still no word on any Happy Meal toys.

There has never been any cross-promotion with Dragon Ball and any other fast food chain in Canada so Canadians are very behind.

I was thinking of the (very brief) Kraft Dinner promotional Canadian-French dub, which was the equivalent of a promotional VHS Burger King (obviously a fast food chain) put out in the US, but then I read up on Kraft and realized they are not a fast food chain in Canada and are more a regular grocery brand. Its weird Burger Kings in Canada didn't jump on the US cross promotion.

Looks like people are having a hard time trying to collect the McDonald's bags since its been raining non-stop in Hong Kong due to the typhoon. Exclusive Dragon Ball themed menu items, I'm fine with but at least give us a happy meal toy.

I see people on carousel selling the McDonald's trading cards for about $5 bucks a pop. Looks like there will be 4 more cards coming soon, so a total of 8 cards in this McDonald's set.

When (I believe) Resurrection F launched in theatres, McDonalds Japan had happy sets themed to DB with toys included . i got a donut launching Gotenks out of it.

Looks like the Dragon Ball Daima cross promotion is back at McDonald's. Only this time in Malaysia. Pretty much the same thing Hong Kong had last year but the packaging is now all in English. I don't quite understand why the word "samurai" had to be thrown into their burger meals. Since when did Dragon Ball ever involve samurai?
