Yeah, the game is a punching bag on reddit, not disimilar from Arkham subreddit

With meme's and jokes, like "Gomah tommorow!" or people posting trolling posts on new DLC.
People finally lost all hopes :)

I just wanted to check what is the release date prediction.

I only played the game a few hours in the start and really liked it. What's so bad with it?

General lack of content and DLCs being both lackluster and delayed for months.

So it's not the gameplay itself?

It was the most anticipated game of the Dragon Ball franchise ever and it did not deliver. Once you finish the main story it get's boring and the story lacks content and care (it's literally just a slide show because they were too lazy to animate cutscenes). And the game's pretty empty. There's nothing to do outside online mode that's actually very broken.

It's a punching bag because it deserves to be a punching bag.

It's a half-assed unfinished product.

As someone who defends Sparking Zero the DLC 3 situation is ridiculous right now.

I still think this game was probably rushed so it could coincide with both Daima and the franchise’s 40th anniversary. I don’t see why else it would be so barebones and have such a half-assed story mode. I know they supposedly started working on it in 2018, but apparently they needed a bit more time.

I wouldn't call it rushed. Story mode isn't really any thing less than we have been getting recently. Xenoverse just had the freedom of doing a completely new story.

If anything the consensus that characters were most important arguably holds the game back. Sparking zero does a lot of what a sequel to Tenkaichi 3 should have done but it is missing stages and it is missing characters.

If they dropped a pack that doubled the stages right now I could see a lot of life coming back to the game.

Story mode could also use some more DLC. I order of importance I would personally say

1. More stages( The lookout, Ice stage, space are the 3 big missing stages)

2. Costumes. Bojack costumes for Goku and Trunks, EOZ gi for Goku and even two arm F Gohan for example.

3. Characters. We still have some Daima characters and missing fighters from Tenkaichi 3 that can help the game. Plus add Shallot's other forms.

4. Story DLC. They can easily extend story mode some more if they want.

I feel these 4 areas could save the game if they treat it like Xenoverse or if they treat it like Tenkaichi they have a launching pad for a good Sparking Zero two.

The DLC could still be released for PS5/XBOX by the end of the month.
Only for Switch, the release date is scheduled for 2026.

There's still hope. Let's look forward to the Tokyo Game Show next week.

The DLC is still probably going to be lackluster because it's going to be just a few new characters. No new stages even though it's about a series happening in a different fucking realm. Not a different planet, not a different universe, a whole different realm. I could be wrong, but... I probably won't be.

Honestly, what I want the most are more stages.

Chiming in just to agree with everyone, one of the most anticipated DB games ever to get almost no new content post release meanwhile Xenoverse still gets multiple updates despite being almost 10 years old is baffling to me.

I am even thinking of buying the Future episodes now.
State of the core gameplay aside, XV2 always made me enjoy the story bits and buttload of content, while I totally hate Versus mode and Parallel Quests.

Sparking Zero is great gameplaywise and visually in comparison, but that’s all in the end.

Looks like the adult forms are transformations of the Mini versions? That's odd if that's the case.

The new stage is a fresh of breath air, however… NO TAMAGAMIS???????? They must be kidding. We got fucking Panzy in the previous DLC. A girl that has less fights than Bulma, why waste a slot with Panzy and her stupid father?

Two Gomahs and no Tamagamis?? fuck me, been waiting months for this?

Also, no SSJ2/3 for Kid Goku I feel?
A new stage though, that looks cool.

Am I mistaken or do none of the recent DB games have an ice (Broly movie) stage?
That feels like such an odd exclusion.

Gomah tom... next week!

Wow, at least one stage! Well, now it's finally over :)
And I guess the development team will pack up their things and run to the hills.

At least they are transparent and calling it just character pack.

At least they finally have English voices for these characters…

It seems kinda weird to me that Goku Mini goes straight from Super Saiyan to Super Saiyan 4, while Vegeta Mini gets all three of his Super Saiyan transformations. Also, no Tamagamis is kinda lame.

I guess now we wait to see if there will be anything more for this game later or if this is it.
