I found out the site dbfanmanga.com was shutdown . It hasn't been updated in years but it was the last site for many older fan comics no longer posted anywhere else.

For what it's worth, there's about 6000 individual doujinshi books tagged "Dragon Ball" on my usual second hand website.

About 500 of them are "doujinshi for men" (aka YJJ / Omada style books as well as the explicit "for male gaze" content)
The other 5500 are "doujinshi for women" (Head Chala, Saiyan Monthly, anything by Furusawa, and of course all the ship doujin is here)

Well the problem is that, when it comes to JPN doujin culture, the goal is "print and sell at a loss", and it's not meant to be shared / reproduced / posted online (unless the author puts the masters on pixiv, which they do sometimes.

Scanlations (let alone "print and sell scanlations") go against the "no reproduction allowed" by default, and because I'm at least acquainted with some of these authors, I don't feel it to be ok for me to even look for these...

I'm only allowing myself to translate the occasional page with the following rules (at least 3):
- author has to be dead
- book has to be at least 20+ years old
- translated sample page(s) has to be available on mandarake / surugaya / toranoana / author's pixiv or accounts
- author agrees

Soooo... yeah.. I'm buying as much as I reasonably can for preservation purposes but I'm not able to actually scan everything anyway XD

That's a shame. I bet a lot of great stories get lost. Stories that are better than what officials can put out.

It's a matter of respecting the author wishes (also I don't get any money out of it and sadly in this economy....)

If my japanese level was better, if i had permission and if I was paid, I'd gladly turn this into a "full time job" but that's not realistic XD

I get what you say but it's still a shame when the official releases are what they are. I love Dragon Ball and the universe so much that I really would have loved to explore more fan manga
