There's a rumor a new jump game is in development.

Good season pass.

We were promised 20+ characters/forms. We got around 26, and most of them are hella fun to play with even better looking attack animations than the base roster. Things we weren't promised – stages and also characters outside of SH/Daima, yet we got one of each of those too as a surprise.

Were there some baffling exclusions? Sure. I'd have loved to play as the Tamagamis, but it's especially odd that there's no SS3 form for mini Goku; he actually has fewer forms than mini Vegeta too as a result. But overall, let's not pretend we weren't given good bang for our buck and let's also not pretend that most season passes would kill to have this many slot additions.

Hopefully they're planning more DLC going forward. Very excited to see where they take the game next.

Yeah I'm still shocked this game and XenoVerse 2 still don't have Shin or the U6 Namekians.
Battle High 2, starring Kyle Hebert as well as myself, has been released on Xbox 360, OUYA, PC, Linux, Mac, and Xbox One!

The DLC could have been better, why doesn't Adult Daima SSJ4 Goku and SSJ3 Vegeta have previous forms and base form. Why doesn't Daima Kid Goku have SSJ2 and SSJ3.

Can anybody say something about the Anime Music pack? is it worth it? soundtrack from what series does it include?

I assume that it's because creating the base forms for Daima characters would be redundant, and difficult too because they didn't even have any iconic fights so... They would have a very lackluster generic moveset

The most they could have done is add the transformations in as a costume for Z End Goku and Vegeta

I did buy it, as I am huge fan of the OG versions of the show and I always felt bummed, that in Japan, BT series had Shunsuke Kikuchi OST and international got generic synth rock one…

Is it worth it tho? Maybe it’s nostalgia, but I found the synth remixes in OG BT better because of the selection and being the game’s default OST which came in the price of the game.
The packs are IMHO greatly overpriced for the content itself, probably because of rights, you have the theme songs for DB, Z, GT and Super, with two insert songs, Spirit VS Spirit and Greatest Battle, Movie 12 ending…
For some reason, Chala Head Chala is cut in the middle, while We Gotta Power and Dan Dan have their full versions.
Then there are the classic recap tracks from Z, two battle themes from Z and two story BGMs, others are from Super and the Broly movie with the song from the end titles as well.
At least the volume is on par and not so much low like in XV2.
It is also used in the story mode at series appropriate moments and makes it feel a bit more like the show, which I really like.

If you’re a huge fan, it greatly expands the TV show experience, but it’s quite expensive at the same time and sure, could be better, I do miss some of the well known battle themes from Z, that were in BT before. But at least it is well integrated into the game, with some smart looping at times (except for Chala Head Chala).
Definitely better than those packs for Xenoverse, Kakarot and FighterZ, that had fewer tracks and you had to buy literally the same packs for every game, every time.

Personally, I can’t imagine playing SZ without the anime soundtrack, as that is a huge preference for me over the original game soundtrack :)

BUT! If they really put more care into it, it wouldn’t be a problem to make them as costumes for the Buu arc characters (which makes more sense than Super, based on the non-canonical timeline and Super not happening before Daima or at all). They did similar thing with Goku Mini.
When in Daima costume, the order of transformations might switch as Base, SSJ, SSJ3 and SSJ4 for Goku while Vegeta on the other hand has room for one SSJ3 :)

But here we are, having the game “complete” and discussing buttload of missing opportunities.

It spans songs from all series (except Daima because it wasn't released at the time) as well as a few background music from Z and Super episodes/movies.

Having the packs will replace music in the story mode here and there with the appropriate music when available, depending on the pack(s) you own (for example, music from Z recap during some Z arcs recap, music from Z battles during the fight against the Ginyu Commando, music from Super when Goku Black shows up, etc...). This is obviously a huge plus to appreciate the story mode.

It will also allow you to put any anime music you own in the custom episodes you create for others to enjoy.

You should know that music on the PlayStation system will block any streaming or recording you're performing for the duration of the track, but you have an option to activate and deactivate anime music if needed.
PlayStation notifications that the recording has been blocked and started again will pop on your screen for every anime music starting and ending everytime and cannot be deactivated even if you have deactivated all notifications.

Depending on the pack(s) you take, you can access these (titles as written in the packs and in-game):
⬪ MAKAFUSHIGI ADVENTURE!: Opening theme for the DRAGON BALL series.
⬪ CHA-LA HEAD-CHA-LA: First opening theme for the DRAGON BALL Z series.
⬪ WE GOTTA POWER: Second and last opening theme for the DRAGON BALL Z series, specifically made for the Boo arc.
⬪ DAY OF DESTINY -SOUL VS SOUL-: The insert song used when Gohan turns Super Saiyan 2 against Cell in the DRAGON BALL Z series.
⬪ SAIKYOU NO FUSION: The ending theme for the 12th movie of DRAGON BALL Z with Gogeta and Janemba.
⬪ PROLOGUE & SUBTITLE 1: The recap background music for DRAGON BALL Z episodes until the end of the Cell arc.
⬪ PROLOGUE & SUBTITLE 2: The recap background music for DRAGON BALL Z episodes starting with the Boo arc.
⬪ KYOUFUNO GINYUU TOKUSENTAI: Battle background music from DRAGON BALL Z.
⬪ SOLID STATE SCOUTER: Insert battle background music from the DRAGON BALL Z TV movie with Bardack, used twice during his two vengeful assaults.
⬪ SHIO YOBU CELL GAME: Battle background music from DRAGON BALL Z.
⬪ AKUMA NO BROLY: Battle background music from the 8th movie of DRAGON BALL Z with Broly.
⬪ SEIGIO AISURU MONO: Background music from DRAGON BALL Z used in the Boo arc, a joyful dynamic arrangement of the opening.
⬪ YAPPARI SAIKYO SONGOKU!! (WE GOTTA POWER): Background music from DRAGON BALL Z used in the Boo arc, a cute and funny arrangement of the opening.
⬪ CHO-ZETS☆DYNAMIC!: First opening theme for the DRAGON BALL SUPER series.
⬪ GENKAI TOPPA X SURVIVOR: Second and last opening theme for the DRAGON BALL SUPER series.
⬪ BLIZZARD: Theme song for the DRAGON BALL SUPER: BROLY movie.
⬪ CHAMPA'S THEME: Background music used in the DRAGON BALL SUPER episodes, ominous and threatening.
⬪ HAND-TO-HAND BATTLE: Battle background music used in the DRAGON BALL SUPER episodes, specific to the Goku Black arc and notably used in the "next episode previews" in addition to fight scenes.
⬪ KYUUKYOKUNO BATTLE (INSTRUMENTAL): Insert song used in the DRAGON BALL SUPER episodes, specific to the Tournament of Power and notably used for Ultra Instinct moments and the final assault. This is the version without singing, an electric guitar replaces the voice.
⬪ DRAGON BALL SUPER -BROLY- THEME: Very short background music used during the title screen of the DRAGON BALL SUPER: BROLY movie.
⬪ BROLY SENTOUKAISHI: Battle background music used in the DRAGON BALL SUPER: BROLY movie.
⬪ OREWA KAKAROT: Background music used in the DRAGON BALL SUPER: BROLY movie, in the final scene when Goku talks to Broly and his friends and says his two names.
⬪ CHA-LA HEAD-CHA-LA (DAYS OF BATTLE): Background music used in the DRAGON BALL SUPER episodes, a rendition of the DRAGON BALL Z opening in an orchestral way for recaps.
⬪ DAN DAN KOKORO HIKARETEKU: Opening theme for the DRAGON BALL GT series.

My problem with these music packs is that they have a lot of great songs...that dont fit the fast paced battles. Songs like the openings are fun but playing a fast battle as SSJ4 Goku while Dan Dan plays...no thanks.

Thanks for the replies and insights. I guess, for the time being, I'll just keep on pumping my DBZ-GT-S playlist on youtube while playing the game.

Pleasantly surprised with the map.
Disappointed that there was no Tamagami 3. 1 and 2 didn't really do anything in the anime so I can't say I care too much, although I did expect them to make it in

All the models are beautiful. It feels like both Goku and Vegeta's models here are made differently than the models in the base game. Maybe it's the delay that gave them some extra time? Or maybe Spike is just better at Kubota's style than Shintani's.

I don't know if we can assume this is complete, just the end of "season 1" since the game's first anniversary is coming up and the DLC that was announced before was also sold as one "pack" you could get together. Especially since it's being ported to two new platforms shortly, they could be gearing up for a second "season pass".

Oh man, I wish! I just don't wanna jump into the over the top hopeful bandwagon of people with Gomah Tommorow! (UPDATE: base combat sucks, but the huge Gomah's super attacks are insane and with proper Ki management, you don't have to lift a finger) and that they have to release King Piccolo and Super 17 for sure.
Hence, until some official announcement or proper leak, I am in the mindset that what they promised since launch officially, with DLC packs is done and the game is done until they say so...

But yeah, in the wishful camp, I sure would hope for them to built upon the Switch release with new content roadmap – which is kinda ruff timewise as the DLCs for Switch, that we already have on other platforms, are planned for March 2026.
Battle Hour is like 7 months away.
It would be a kind of poetic justice, as I did some thorough fact research after being flooded by FighterZ ArcSysXBandai rumors, which lead to some inbetween fact check about how Bandai as publisher supposedly operates and in case of Sparking Zero, most of the work and effort was probably allocated into the development/port of the Switch versions and that postponed the work on the DLCs a bit.
There are rumors, that the DLCs had some issues with implementing them into the base game and the focus on Switch ports didn't help, but that's where we are going deep into the rumor teritory.

At this moment, bit bummed about some things, but as I stated many times, they can only positively surprise me :)

I like some of the interactions that Gomah has. I'm surprised that he doesn't have one with Beerus and Zamasu.

Just tried out the new characters in some CPU matches, they're pretty cool! Adult SS3 Vegeta and both SS4 Gokus rock. Duu is awesome. New stage is cool. Yes it would be neat to get a Tamagami. My main complaint is that Goku Daima base form can't transform into Super Saiyan. You can pick Goku Daima SS1 and then transform into SS4, or detransform into base and retransform into SS1, but if I pick base form from the character select screen he can't transform. I'm guessing this is because base form Goku is from a different pack and they couldn't figure out how to make it so you could play as him and have the transformations only be accessible to people who have the later DLC, so they had to keep transformations walled off entirely.

I hope the next update has some new What if scenarios. Maybe a few Daima storylines or something.

He actually can, you just have to go into his customization and select his other "outfit" that has the different ultimate blast.

You have to change his costume in base form. They left the promo version of him in and patched the transformations and one new ultimate on him through costume.

To humor you here, Legendary Warrior Face-off is back again, now with Freeza.
I am trying hard to make at least 2 of the Super DB challenges, as I am missing two of them and need to find out hard if Super Shenron has any wishes left! The other dragons are sucked dry
