I was thinking something like.. The Board Game/Map layout from the Budokai 2 story. You could go in different directions during your turn, NPCs from different teams also have turns (NPCs might knock each other out), and you would have a number of "players" on your team on the board.

There would be different story beats depending on who you select for your team. Obviously Frieza and Future Trunks would have some tense dialog. Cell might have dialog with Gohan or Pikkon. And imagine if you picked a joke team like Yamcha, Saibamen, and Hercule lol.

Give me something insane like Golden Frieza showing up during the Namek Saga, obviously this would happen way later in the Story (need to be a high level) but it'd be cool.

They could also do a moral dilemma of a character not dying during a pivotal moment. In the Saiyan Saga, Piccolo doesn't die meaning the Dragon Balls don't disappear so you have the choice to kill Piccolo and make enemies out of the Z Fighters or go with the flow.

I actually wouldn't mind another DB mobile game. Especially if it was made by China. The last one, the strongest warrior, was the last game to my knowledge to actually have a story that adapted Early DB. That alone puts it up my list of good "modern" Dragon Ball games. Speaking of the story, I feel like a gacha game is the only way we can get a storymode that can faithfully adapts DB - Super in its entirety.

There's this Chinese team I've been keeping track of called More-Fun (or Cube) studios and they're responsible for the Naruto Mobile game and One Piece Ambition. OPA honestly has the production values of a next gen game.

A lot of OP fans are turned off by the beat-em-up combat, but its PVP and MFS' other game, The Hidden Ones, shows they could definitely make a competent fighting game if they wanted to, be it a 2.5D fighter or an Arena Fighter. This visual quality and the likelihood of them being able to adapt a full storymode would be my dream DB game.

I want a Xenoverse 3, but the more I think about it, I and a lot of people I've seen, don't actually want Xenoverse 3, but a SDBH arena fighter. And I think that's fine, tbh Xenoverse's story being as bland as it is even after all these years and the lack of what-if characters is crazy to me. I'm not even asking for them to go completely crazy like late-game heroes did. I'm sure there's a fine balance between all the stuff they did later on and just turning characters purple for another 10 years, right?

We got Super Saiyan - Super Saiyan 3 Bardock out of XV2 so it's not impossible for them to do. It wouldn't kill the series if Vegito went Super Saiyan 3 and they incorporated Ultra Vegeta 1's hair into it. And I'm sure a lot of players wouldn't object to a Janemba absorbed Kid or Super Buu. But I feel like if this was in the cards they either would have alluded to these happening by now or thrown us a bone with these aforementioned "tame" what-if characters.

I think they realize making what-if characters is crossing a line that they'd have to one-up anytime they make a DLC and that there would be no sense in doing that when they've gotten away with turning character A purple, weakening character B, and bringing character C into the wrong arc since XV1.

The second thing that's been bugging me is the graphics/visual situation. For 8 years I've been hoping that the next XV3 game would look magnificent, but the more completely new characters come out, like the two brolys and the daima characters, the more I've begrudgingly accepted that there either isn't a Xenoverse 3 hidden deep somewhere that they’re slowly working on and getting their assets from, or there is and the new models, while still better than the old ones, aren't/won't be that big of a jump in quality. And if there isn't one, they'll probably just reuse these and tweak them if we're lucky because there'd be no sense in making it all from scratch.

Yeah, that would be cool. Not the retelling part, having the character grow up, I mean. It would recover one the best and most interesting aspect of the series, seeing the characters age up.

Though some mild tweaks and overhaul would have to be made, because I don't think Kaioshin of Time would hire kids as Time Patrollers, but I also don't think they would simply ditch this aspect of the series, but who knows.

Either way, they’re not wasting a big event like this to reveal a mobile game. Whatever gets revealed will probably be the 2026 DB game.

I actually think it being Budokai is not that improbable at this point. Sparking Zero is the best selling DB game, so they might be like "Hmmm what other games from the PS2 era can we bring back"

At the same time I feel like a Budokai game made in response to Sparking Zero would be announced further down the line, not right now.
