Goku is naive not stupid so him in school wouldn't be a problem you just need him to be as somone mentioned like Gohan.

Drop him in middle school when he first meets Bulma and problem solved. Goku can be shown to be a genius when it comes to outdoors and wildlife and even in physical education. Then it comes to academics and the jokes start.

If you look at him from the 23rd-Buu I wouldn't even say he is a person that didn't go to school just thst he is naive and easy going.
That idea is way better than the way Goku was written in DBS. DBS Goku kept saying so many dumb things and didn't know the things that he knew or learned in the past. Goku was extremely bossy in DBS and wanted everything his way.

DBS ruined Goku, Chi Chi, Buu, Goten (redeemed in DBS Super Hero) and Trunks (redeemed in DBS Super Hero).

DBS reset the characters whenever they felt like it.

The only reason I can see for a complete remake of Dragon Ball is to just give Funiroll one more chance to dub it properly tbh. Other than that, it's unnecessary.
Looking for these rare items/information:

Any information or recordings pertaining to Dragon Ball Z's syndicated run on WAWB
Any information regarding the stations that carried the origin Dragon Ball in the USA
Dragon Box (any deals would be nice)
Shonen Jumps with Dragon Ball in them

Even that feels unnecessary. Funimation: "Please let us try again to make a proper Dragon Ball dub, it'll be good this time bro I promise, please man I swear this time it'll really happen"

The only part of the franchise that can be truly called "canon" (even though no one official has ever said anything on the matter) is the original manga. As for everything else, it wouldn't be good for business to say that something counts and another doesn't, as the various companies involved want to sell products based on every part of the franchise. Even if we do get a remake of DB & Z, that doesn't mean Toei and their various partners want to stop selling the classic series, so they'll never say it's the definitive or real way to experience the story.
