Who the fuck knows. It's pretty pointless to speculate about anything at this point. The manga arcs will be adapted eventually.Xeogran wrote: Mon Dec 22, 2025 11:53 amWouldn't that mean the supposed remake wouldn't have access to manga content, if they're still divided and the case isn't settled? Yeah, I don't think it gives us any clue regarding the legal situation of the franchise.sangofe wrote: Mon Dec 22, 2025 12:10 pmI think they just want more attention to the announcements and make it grandiose.Xeogran wrote: Mon Dec 22, 2025 11:53 amWouldn't that mean the supposed remake wouldn't have access to manga content, if they're still divided and the case isn't settled? Apparently they have a lot to talk about the series in general, including games. The venue being prepared seems to be relatively big and includes a bunch of different booths, not sure if Jump Festa would be the right place/financially adequate to host so much stuff.
It's safe to say expectations are higher than usual for this event, it's gonna be almost impossible to meet them. Whatever they announce will make me happy, even Daima got me excited. We'll even have new games to look forward to, it's gonna be a great day.

Watch the big anime announcements end up being for Jaco and Neko Majin.FlpShimizu wrote: Mon Dec 22, 2025 12:17 pmIt's safe to say expectations are higher than usual for this event, it's gonna be almost impossible to meet them.

I, for one, would be happy if Jaco got an animated adaptation. Considering how Super basically made him part of the main cast, I think we're way overdue for an animated adaptation of his origin. The Dark Knight wrote: Mon Dec 22, 2025 12:33 pmWatch the big anime announcements end up being for Jaco and Neko Majin.FlpShimizu wrote: Mon Dec 22, 2025 12:17 pmIt's safe to say expectations are higher than usual for this event, it's gonna be almost impossible to meet them.

That would be much more interesting than any of these rumors about boring remakes, remasters and retellings. I would gladly take Jaco and especially Neko Majin, please. The Dark Knight wrote: Mon Dec 22, 2025 12:33 pmWatch the big anime announcements end up being for Jaco and Neko Majin.

(I might be done with new DB, but I'm still down for any of the Tori-made stuff not yet animated)

Don't get me wrong, I'd very much welcome an animated adaption of Neko Majin ( don't really care for Jaco), but it's not months worth of hype and a big stage.

Nan we'll get Black Frieza in the manga and the anime will have Golden Frieza fusing with Golden Cooler based on the ending to Broly.JulieYBM wrote: Mon Dec 22, 2025 12:17 pmWho the fuck knows. Cooleeza? Frooler? What would a Freeza and Cooler fusion even be named?
A Neko Majin anime adaption would be nostalgic for me in a good way. (Also would mean more EoZ Goku.
)
A Jaco anime adaptation could also be fun. I'd like to see them take advantage of the medium music-wise and lean into it taking place a decade or so before DB. (Where the original DB (1986) music is very 80's, go more 70's sounding for the music in Jaco).

I'm really interested in seeing whether or not this hypothetical remaster/remake will have Goku and Vegeta use Ssj4 and Ssj3 against Beerus.

It's pretty much an inviolable, core plot point that anything below SSG is fodder to Beerus. It's the entire point of SSG, the entryway to a whole new realm of power and possibilities that were barred before.
That's why it really isn't a "plot hole" when Goku doesn't bring up SSJ4 against Beerus. Since SSJ3 is fodder to Beerus (as we saw quite clearly in the movie and... sigh... regrettably, episode 5 of the anime...), why exactly would SSJ4 be any different? The gap between those two forms isn't that big.
Is Goku maybe intelligent?

Akira Toriyama, DBS vol.4 joint interview with ToyotaroAt his core Zamasu is good like Shin, though I guess you could say he was so fastidious that it backfired. But you know, for this "Future Trunks Arc" you had to depict Zamasu and Trunks' inner conflict, right? If this was back when I was drawing the manga myself then I doubt if I could have done it. I mean, I'm not very good at depicting the characters' psychology on the page. So this all came together because now I only have to think up the story. [...] On my own, I doubt I would have been able to express Zamasu's fall to the dark side.

Re: Dragon Ball Genkida Matsuri 2026 on january 25th will have Dragon Ball announcements
He said 3 is his final transformation before even fighting Beerus, so it is. And if he had it in Super, he would have then brought it out against Caulifla for sure. But we know it's out of universe and nobody had any idea Toriyama would bring in SSJ4 years later. Now they do, so a remake fixing that would be welcome, but probably won't happen.SupremeKai25 wrote: Tue Dec 23, 2025 5:13 am That's why it really isn't a "plot hole" when Goku doesn't bring up SSJ4 against Beerus.

Pretty unnecessary and strong term for what is, ultimately, a rather small and irrelevant detail in the grand scheme of things.
Not the term I'd use at all.
There's way worse things in the story that could use some actual "fixing" to make the story flow better and be more enjoyable. Like cutting down all the useless filler with Pilaf.
Yuck.

I think it would be easier to keep them separate continuities. It's not just the transformations but also some of the lore doesn't seem like it's intended to be in the same continuity. The Dark Knight wrote: Tue Dec 23, 2025 4:22 am I'm really interested in seeing whether or not this hypothetical remaster/remake will have Goku and Vegeta use Ssj4 and Ssj3 against Beerus.

I think if it goes seasonal that much is a given at least, they'll have to adhere to a schedule and everything will be way faster than in the original DBS anime. I predict ToP by episode 50.SupremeKai25 wrote: Tue Dec 23, 2025 5:24 am There's way worse things in the story that could use some actual "fixing" to make the story flow better and be more enjoyable.
