I understand, man. Honestly, my dream Dragon Ball anime and manga is one that is set AFTER EoZ. Not between the Boo arc and EoZ like Super and Daima ended up being. I want to see Oob and Pan take the lead as the new main characters. Maybe Bra too. And Goten and Trunks (not their stupid superhero personas). Even if Goku and Vegeta are still the main focus, surrounding them with a cast of new younger characters would add a freshness we haven't seen from Dragon Ball in a while. Super Hero was the first time I felt like Dragon Ball might finally move into the future and now we're back where we started. Maybe, just maybe, though, when the anime reaches Super Hero, we can finally move to EoZ considering Super Hero has teen Goten and Trunks as well as Pan in it.Artorias wrote: Sun Jan 25, 2026 3:26 am I agree with pretty much everything you're saying in an objective sense. I was just mostly coming at it from my own personal reaction of being in the fandom for years and wanting desperately to move on from what I see as a borderline disaster of a show. Call me dramatic, but instead of dwelling on the Super era and bending over backwards to pull new fans into the Super storyline, I would rather them do the opposite, which is ignore Super and pretend it basically doesn't exist, and start fresh from ground zero moving forward. Kinda like what they did with Daima (even though I didn't end up liking that show either). I know this is unrealistic, but a man can dream.
On that point, I guess with Super getting remastered and the upcoming Galactic Patrol arc, we're most likely getting Super Hero redone in 2D form. I think they redid it in manga form because the movie didn't do too well in Japan, right? So, it makes sense to readapt it into non-3D anime form too, which I actually wouldn't mind. It'd be cool to see Gohan Beast and Orange Piccolo in classic anime style and not CGI.
