Maybe one day in post-EOZ content. The old&experienced-warrior role/narrative in DB is sorely underutilized, actually surprising for a fighting story
Yeah, they really only used it in the 22nd Tenkaichi Budokai arc.
I guess they kinda sorta did it in Boo arc but then they circled back to "God the new generation sucks, we have to fix everything" (and obviously " millennials suck here comes gen x to fix it" wasn't intentional given Toriyama's original plan but it is a pretty obvious read with the end result)
BTW you're on YT right?
As a guy posting comments? Yes. As a content creator? No

Honestly, this strain of thought combined with the recent comic arc really makes me want to see the Twenty-Eighth Tenka-ichi redone as a tournament from the POV of Goten, Trunks, Pan and Uub in a similar vain to how we had an 'old generation v. new generation' during the Twenty-Second Tenka-ichi.

Ooooooh, never knew I wanted that until now. That would be cool.
After Goku and Uub flies off, they still somehow continue the tournament. Focusing on Trunks, Goten, Pan and Buu fair with each other.

Sounds cool actually. If there's any point in redrawing/retelling EOZ as the finale of 2uper that's the way to go. Such a simple yet effective idea so of course they'll never think about it
I’ve probably said this here before or in some other thread, but setting aside all the other inconsistencies Super created for EoZ, wouldn’t it just be one more to make Piccolo strong enough to be close to Goku and Vegeta’s level? Because that kind of removes the excuse of him not taking part in the 28th Tenkaichi Budokai for not being as strong as them. Correct me if I’m wrong.
Are we too old to enjoy new Dragon Ball movies/series?

Guys, I'm going to be straight with you. If you feel the show has gotten 'silly' ... it hasn't. You're just 'too old for this shit'. Seriously, 95% of the people in those boards do not fit the target demographic of the show, so don't expect the show to be 'everything you hoped for'. I'm referring to the people here who expect Super to be rich with dark moments, serious storytelling, meaningful characters etc etc. It won't. It's a show for kids. A show for kids being kids. Everyone in those boards has a manchild in him/her, clamoring to get out, and that's fine. But having unrealistic expectations (such as believing the show grew up alongside you) is naïve at best. Honestly, do you take seriously a story where the supposed God of Destruction halts his urges to blow up stuff in order to eat ice cream sundae? That's the show's silliness at full force, take it for what it is. The show hasn't matured one bit, so don't expect it too. Again, I'm not saying that's a bad thing. I'm saying *that* is DB and always will be.

Just pretend that Piccolo didn't feel like it participating.
