Because of that, I actually think Super was in greater need of a remake or recut than the OG series. Super’s original airing had so many issues and was so rushed that it barely had a chance to feel special, despite introducing some genuinely strong ideas. Things definitely improved as the series went on, but the idea of finally having a better paced and better looking definitive version of Super really appeals to me.
That said, a full remake of the original Dragon Ball anime would be an absolute dream project for me, especially if it followed the visual style we saw in Super Hero’s intro. However, I would go even further and adapt the entire story across the original 42 manga volumes, from Pilaf to Boo. As others have pointed out, this feels like something that is bound to happen eventually.
I think there was room for that at one point. They simply should have included it in the original 2009 run of Kai. Releasing an incomplete version of the story never really made sense to me.Kulilin wrote: Fri Jan 30, 2026 8:10 pmYes and no. I don’t want a half-arsed “remake” of OG Dragonball like Kai.
