This may have been asked already in the past years (although I tried to find posts before creating this new topic), but is there any brand new
exclusive scene(s) found anywhere in the Dragon Ball Kai series or all of them are just redrawn/"fixed" stuff, but nothing new that can't be found in the original Dragon Ball Z series?
Thanks!
(I've never watched DB Kai, for me Dragon Ball Z is THE canon material with all of it's fun fillers

)

It’s all just remastered and redrawn. The only “new” animation is the OP and ED’s and eyecatches

I think there are at least some new frames added here and there to make some scenes smoother.

This is not new scene, but we got these...
Wow.. I now understand why Kai received that bad reputation.. these zero contours make characters very "lightweight", so out-of-place..

I think those appear on the screen so quickly that you can barely notice them

I remember before Daizenshuu and Kanzentai merged into Kanzenshuu, Kanzentai had list and screenshots of every redrawn scene in Kai, unfortunately, they mostly got lost in time

They didn't make any new scenes; everything comes from the original Z.
What they did do was redraw some scenes, either because the original footage was damaged, allow for better framing for the 16:9 aspect ratio or to eliminate stroboscopic effects, compare episode 191 of Z and episode 96 of Kai to see a clear example of the later one.
In fact, there are redrawn scenes that are exclusive to the 16:9 version, while the 4:3 versions use the original footage from Z.

You can still find them, but you have to change the file name in the URL to see them.
For example, instead of 32.png, you can search for 08.png and that screenshot will appear.
https://www.kanzenshuu.com/guides/episo ... 096/32.png
https://www.kanzenshuu.com/guides/episo ... 096/08.png
So, you just have to search for the episode you need in the episode guide. The bad thing is that it takes longer to search for them this way compared to having a gallery.

Kei17 pointed out a while back that there was indeed at least
one scene with new animation. However, it's just some dust clouds swirling.

In Episode 3, we also got new animation of Piccolo and Goku charging at Raditz together

This is not new scene, but we got these...
It feels like it came straight out of some shitty 90s sticker album, badly recolored by the publisher’s staff. And people love this show...

Honestly Kai's digital shots would have been the perfect opportunity to go back and add some scenes the anime cut like Zarbon telling Vegeta about Freeza's transformation ability, but no instead let's just sloppily cut for time, excising even manga panels but keeping random fucking filler like Bulma and Ginyu the Frog.

If those scenes would have looked like those screenshots up above in this thread then no thanks lol

At least they'd have felt more understandable. As it is now all they did was mostly make shots look worse for no good reason.

The animators made a small new scene for Vegeeta's fight with Gohan in the Saiyan arc. It was just the explosions from Vegeeta spamming Ki blasts, if I remember correctly.
I also think the first episode had a small new scene of kid Gokuu jumping around during the flashback to OG DB.

I could have sworn that was taken from the first episode when he was looking for food
