Bandai-Namco has trademarked the name "World Fighters" for the EU and US regions.
Wonder what this could mean? Will it be thet new Dragon Ball game announced at Genkidamatsuri, or is it something else?

Re: Dragon Ball World Fighters
I looked through various additional documents in those filings and don’t see “Dragon Ball” itself actually mentioned anywhere — it’s just the “World Fighters” title from Bandai Namco.
Am I overlooking something? Is someone else misreporting this?
(That doesn’t mean it won’t or can’t be Dragon Ball-related, but I don’t specifically see it right here and now.)

I don't see Dragon Ball either, although I guess it could've been temporarily removed to save the surprise. IF this is indeed the next Dragon Ball game, I wonder if it's a sequel to Fighterz.

The trademark is just WORLD FIGHTERS – there was never a "Dragon Ball" in there. That's speculation for now.sangofe wrote: Fri Jan 23, 2026 7:32 am Bandai-Namco has trademarked the name "Dragon Ball World Fighters" for the EU and US regions.

Please be a new Jump game that's actually colorful and good like J-Stars and JUS/JSS

Re: Dragon Ball World Fighters
I personally think a "Dragon Ball World Fighters" (if it is a thing) is an Arena Fighter by CC2 like the Storm Series, focusing on OG Dragon Ball.
Now I'd prefer a Dragon Ball Goku RPG but I mean what else can it be?
A new studio working on a Dragon Ball game? I doubt it.

Sorry, I made an error there. Thanks for pointing it out, Mr. Baggins.

If it is a Dragon Ball game, "world" being in the title kinda makes me think back to some of those older 3D DB(Z) fighting games with a map traversal mode. It's curious, to say the least.

There was a leak from awhile back that a new Jump game (like Jump Force) was in development, so that title would go with such a game.

Re: World Fighters
I'm guessing this is the game that CC2 will announce in February?

Re: World Fighters
I'm worried it's going to be another thing like J-Stars.
I HOPE it's a Dragon Ball Online remake or something similiar with REAL open world and REAL rpg system with lots and lots of REAL customization options (unlike Kakarot which was a fine game but lacked on many levels).

Re: World Fighters
I don't understand why people saw the trademark and automatically assumed it belonged Dragon Ball. But ignoring that, I also don't get where people have been getting this DBO2/open world thing from. Is it because it's titled World Fighters?

Well, for me it's because of my brain was influenced by YouTube videos at the moment I posted this.IntangibleFancy wrote: Fri Jan 23, 2026 9:18 pm I don't understand why people saw the trademark and automatically assumed it belonged Dragon Ball. Re: World Fighters
I really wanted another Jump game. It feels like these studios have finally realized nobody likes those stiff plasticky looking models (hope they get the memo for the generic unreal looking maps/environments next), and I was hoping we'd get a new Jump Fighting game soon with characters that actually look as good as they do in their respective anime.Xeogran wrote: Thu Feb 05, 2026 1:21 pm Well, we finally have it, and it's... a Captain Tsubasa game![]()

On a side note, are those in-game cutscenes or pre-rendered for the trailer or opening or something, because the superpowered kicks were impressive. Maybe it's just the impact frames making them look better, but it looks like something I'd expect from CC2.
