So as far as I can see there's still no word on a UK Blu-ray release for Daima.

It's frustrating because the dub still isn't available on streaming here either. Seems we always have to get screwed over by rights issues.

I remember Manga UK taking forever to announce Super's home release too, which had also been late coming to streaming, and took even longer to include the dub.

I always like to support the official release, but these companies sure as hell don't make it easy.

I wonder if Crunchyroll left it too late to announce a UK release now that Dragon Ball Super is returning. That said we still have at least a year before we get into actual new material, but I still think theres a chance the retellings could be good and be able to compete with a Daima home release.

Perhaps, although I'd personally still like to see Daima get released first.

Knowing Toei, I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if the UK/Ireland have to wait longer for a home release of the new Super stuff than other territories. It wouldn't surprise me if Netflix and/or Crunchyroll UK only get the sub again too.

At this point I'm curious if the US Daima Blu-ray will be region locked. If not then I'd probably import it, rather than wait forever in the hopes of a UK release.

I just realized that with Super returning with the remake/remaster and the Moro arc (and beyond, I'm sure), the Super home release thread I started will be relevant again. I just wonder if it makes sense to make a new Super home release thread to differentiate the remake/remaster from OG Super or just continue on with the thread I already made. I guess, when I think about it, continuing on from the existing thread probably makes the most sense considering the Super remake/remaster will be released in arcs like "Super: Beerus" and "Super: Freeza". So, definitely not warranting of making a whole new thread for one arc each.

If it were me, I'd make a new thread for Dragon Ball Super (2026-) because it will presumably be a new line of releases independent to the 2015 series. In which case, the Part 1-10 sets will only be as relevant as Crunchyroll's other Dragon Ball releases.

Uh-oh. Looks like, as of this posting, Daima's physical releases are no longer listed for next week anymore. I really hope this doesn't mean they're cancelling the release. I imagine that probably won't happen since it took so much effort to work on the release and pre-orders have already been made, but still, I'm kind of worried. Honestly, I feel like there's a VERY good chance Dragon Ball Daima could end up being Crunchymation's last Dragon Ball physical release, except for special cases like new DB movies.

And if that happens, so be it. I mean, it would suck not to get Super: Beerus all the way to Super: The Galactic Patrol on home media, but if Daima (which is the last series Akira Toriyama worked on) at the very least can get released on Blu-ray, I'll survive. And with the way Crunchyroll is now (especially after being bought by Sony), they seem to be cutting costs/corners any way they can when it comes to physical media vs. streaming. They didn't even have solicitations for May this year, which speaks volumes.

Also, someone on Reddit said that the Daima home release has an English dub for the opening song? But I'm not seeing proof of that anywhere so can anyone clarify this? For right now, I'm just taking it as clueless Reddit talk. They probably just heard an English cover or something and assumed it was real.
