What changes would you like to see in DBS Remake
I am curious to see what changes members would like to see in DBS Remake.
- Have the characters be less flanderised
- Make powerscaling more consistent
- Remove filler episodes from the DBS Anime
- SSG is used more frequently, including by Vegeta
- Vegeta gets the Win in RoF
- Have Majin Buu compete in the U6 tournament
- Make the trips to the future less convoluted - they only go twice, first time they get their ass kicked, second is when they defeat Zamasu
- Either get rid of SSJ Rage for Trunks or give a proper explanation
- Include the GoD Battle Royale in the pre-tournament matchup
- Give Jiren a more detailed background
- Have Goten and Trunks join the RoF and Moro invasion, there is no limit on who can join in the fight.

More Tomioka Atsuhiro-written fights and more gay shit between Kale and Caulifla.
A completely new music composer would be nice, too.

Re: What changes would you like to see in DBS Remake
No big changes, because it's not an entire rewrite, but I would have Goku and Vegeta keep their RoF outfits.
Actually, I'd like to see Vegeta wear his Buu arc clothes for the rest of the show. I understand that the ToP might require Geets to wear his armor due to the nature of the arc, but Goku could use his RoF gi during the entire run of DBS.
I'd like it to follow the manga. With SS Black, no SSR for Trunks, just his healing powers, less weird time travel, and of course PSSB. I also want to see Vegeta vs Beerus after the Zamasu arc.
No recruitment arc either.

Re: What changes would you like to see in DBS Remake
For the Beerus arc, I'd personally like to see them add a short sequence explaining why the Pilaf Gang are kids again. Battle of Gods already included an explanation as to why they'd been de-aged, so I find it absolutely baffling that the Dragon Ball Super anime actively removed it while padding out the arc pretty much everywhere else. The complete lack of explanation makes it feel somewhat incomplete, as people who haven't seen the film are left in the dark as to why they're suddenly so young. Since they know in advance this time that Mai will actually get some focus a few arcs down the line, hopefully they'll take this opportunity to rectify this weird omission. Bonus points if they can reference the manga's bonus chapter showing exactly how this went down, even if it's only in still images...! = P
Re: What changes would you like to see in DBS Remake
-Remove the cringy and awful Roshi stuff from the early ToP training episodes.
-Tone down how obnoxious Goku was when trying to get Zamasu to spar with him when they first met.
-Less Pilaf Gang.
-Remove the Beerus-in-a-Monaka-suit gag.
-Give Future Trunks a better ending than what he got. Whoever said send him to Cell's timeline where they're isn't another him--maybe do that?
-Restore the Goku and Vegeta teleport from the F movie.
-The Jelly Vegeta gag with the pacifier--gone. That was bad.
-I second keeping the RoF outfits around longer. I liked them both a lot and thought it gave Super more of its' own identity and made the passage of time feel more noticeable.
There is probably more, but that's what I have without rewatching anything.

On hiatus.
Re: What changes would you like to see in DBS Remake
I feel too naive to ask for this but:
- If this re-version starts with a recap, hopefully it isn't as long as Daima's episode 1 recap.
- Remixes and covers of the original openings and endings. The original version are good (except ED6 which I personally hate) but remixes and covers would make this re-version to stand out from the original Super.
- Not to re-use any of Sumitomo's Kai OST. While the Kai's OST itself isn't bad, it felt cheap to use it in Super. This is the opportunity to have a more original OST and better music placement.
- Have more mercy with Future Trunks. Please remove that Future Mai and Trunks' timeline clones shit.

A little too late but yeah, I've been officially active in Kanzenshuu for ten years

In the Moro chapter Master Roshi used fake UI, I wonder if the anime will keep that the same or change it. Keep in mind the anime version of DBS doesn't have fake UI Master Roshi.

Re: What changes would you like to see in DBS Remake
1- I want consistency in the writing; not just the art and animation. I expect the characters to be in-line with their portrayals from DB & Z. I also expect narrative consistency, so if something is established in one episode (character X is out of power), then I expect that plot point to carry over into the next episode. I also expect power-lever consistency, so shit like Krillin holding off a Kamehameha from Blue Goku needs to go.
2- No cutaways to anything, period. Half the tournament of power was characters commenting on things we just saw; I don't need to be told that a character is struggling or another got a power up when I literally just saw it happen. Can we also get rid of the constant repetition of information we were just told ? "My plan is destroy all mortals", "so your plan is to destroy all mortals ?". The plot will move much better and naturally without these terrible type of writing.
3- Either explain why characters gained massive power ups or leave it out. I think one of Super's strengths was actually utilizing DB's extended cast, unlike a certain series (GT) which I won't name. However, if you're going to do so, it needs to make sense. I'm not asking for an elaborate plot to establish their new strength, just a simple line or two. #17 is stronger because he's an android and his power grows gradually; Trunks' "Rage" form is an incomplete ultimate form that resulted from a botched ritual the Nahara tried to perform.

Re: What changes would you like to see in DBS Remake
Although I don't think they'll change that much, I'd like to see some elements from the manga in the anime, particularly Super Saiyajin God. The fight between Vegeta and Goku Black was much better in the manga because of that.
Actually, the entire Trunks arc is better in the manga. I still don't really like Black or Zamasu, but the story flows much better in the manga. Maybe they could bring some of that to the anime.

Just sit here and waste your precious time. When you want to do something, don't do it right away. Don't do it when you can. Read my posts instead. It's the only way to live a life without regrets.
Re: What changes would you like to see in DBS Remake
I hope the enhanced version makes Zamasu and Black even more obviously in love. The homoerotic tension was the best part of the original.

Re: What changes would you like to see in DBS Remake
Well ideally I would want the Future Trunks arc to have its ending completely rewritten so the timeline wipe doesn't happen but the odds of that happening are 0%.
...With that said, one thing I would like for them to do is take a cue from the manga and have Zamasu be aware of Goku without Goku having met him because the anime's version of events is just kind of a paradox.
Beerus thinks Black might be Zamasu -> They go to see Zamasu to try and figure out if he is indeed Goku Black (ergo, if they weren't already aware of Goku Black none of the following would happen) -> Goku fights him -> Zamasu takes an interest in Goku from having experienced his strength firsthand -> Beerus and Kaioshin keep tabs on Zamasu and intervene to stop him before he even gets to carry out his plan.
Like... With the anime's version of events... Where did the Zamasu who successfully stole Goku's body even come from? His version of events would have had to have been different from the present Zamasu we saw, considering how the causal link we saw in the anime started with them already being aware of Goku Black and actively investigating Zamasu as a potential suspect. Meanwhile in the manga he self-radicalizes to the point of deciding to steal Goku's body all on his own, in a fashion that could absolutely have played out exactly the same in the world where Beerus didn't intervene and kill him. I dunno, I just sort of feel like the very existence of a present day Zamasu who hasn't yet stolen Goku's body mainly exists to organically show how the Zamasu that did become Goku Black got to that point? And yet in the anime, the events we saw literally can't have been how it happened for Black.

Most of these aren't realistic changes to expect, but if we're just screaming our desires into the shared void, why not.

Champa arc: Gokuu and Piccolo team up against Hit as repayment for Frost's shenanigans. This way, we can both have a different type of fight while also leaving Gokuu feeling dissatisfied and wanting to fight Hit on his own someday.
Re: What changes would you like to see in DBS Remake
I would like less Pilaf Gang because they were killing the pace of episodes and story. Another change I would like is to make the ending of Future Trunks Arc different - just restore his timeline and all of the people, there's no need for him to suffer after all that crap he went through. Or, you know, make him a Time Patroller? Everything is better than the current ending in anime version.
In the ideal world Future Trunks would stay in the main timeline to fight in the ToP but it's not that kind of a remake.

Re: What changes would you like to see in DBS Remake
Hoping to see a bit more of battle damage - bloody fights as the original was really lacking due to time slot it was played. A bit less of fake drama (especially during some ToP episodes). Also connecting Daima's story with Super.

Re: What changes would you like to see in DBS Remake
Sadly, since they say this is meant to be "more in line with Toriyama" I don't think either of those are possible. Pilaf's return in BoG was Toriyama's idea and I strongly suspect his continued presence was also on Toriyama. And then the ending... Yeah nah, the Future Trunks arc ending with the Omni-King wiping the timeline was definitely also in Toriyama's outline, so as much as it is my single least favorite thing in all of DB, I don't think there's any chance at all that that'll change.Trouser wrote: Sun Feb 15, 2026 6:07 am I would like less Pilaf Gang because they were killing the pace of episodes and story. Yeah, this is why this "follow the original manga creator" nonsense is such fucking shit, especially when there is no explaining why your ideas are better to them.Vegard Aune wrote: Sun Feb 15, 2026 12:53 pmSadly, since they say this is meant to be "more in line with Toriyama" I don't think either of those are possible. Re: What changes would you like to see in DBS Remake
Most of the things mentioned in this thread are simply unrealistic.
It's a reworking, not a remake.
There won't be any fundamental differences, just improvements.
What would be the perfect result for me:
- They incorporate Daima into the timeline so that Super and Daima no longer contradict each other (Kibitoshin, SSJ3 Vegeta, SSJ4 Goku...)
- They fix the colour of Kid Trunks' hair (which they don't do according to the trailer)
- They remove all filler (yes, even the few good filler episodes).
- They shorten the series, create good pacing, and polish up the animations (a no-brainer, since that's the main purpose).
- They remove inconsistencies between the manga and the anime by tweaking the story a bit and incorporating certain things from the manga.
I think that's the maximum one could expect. Anything beyond that is just wishful thinking. It's not a remake that eliminates all fan complaints. It's just a new version to have a good transition to the Moro sequel.

I'd like for them to adopt the manga colors across the board, but from the trailer alone we're not getting that...
