If we can get Freeza soldier #82, then I think we can get all 7 shadow dragons.

GT Vegeta isn't that different from Buu arc Vegeta in terms of combat. Just trim down the scope of his SS4 attacks, maybe add Vegeta's Technique™. Against Goten and Gohan he tried that ball of ki that seemed like Final Explosion's baby brother.

Before the other 4 dragons, I'd rather have Rildo, or maybe Ledgic. But eventually, I don't see why we cannot get all of them. I mean we have Panzy! I also feel the Tamagami will never be included, I actually forgot about them until just now when I thought of Panzy's crazy inclusion.

Who I really want is GT Trunks. His goofy attire is too cool. He never uses the sword, so it'd be nice to have an adult Trunks with a different moveset.

With how important Trunks was at the start of GT, you'd think he'd be his own character.

I hope they give us End of Z Trunks as an outfit too, same with End of Z Goten if he becomes playable.

Will be this mode the sabe as DBZ BT2?
Nickolaidas wrote: Tue Dec 30, 2025 6:10 pm What does Sparking! Zero have? A half-assed story-mode (it's so sad that there hasn't been a DB game with a better story mode than Budokai 1)
Probably not as faithful as the first Budokai, but Sparking Neo (Tenkaichi 2) had an almost complete story mode for its time. I could see Sparking Zero doing something similar, even using the same approach as Sparking Meteor (Tenkaichi 3), where parts of the story advance mid-battle by pressing R3 (PS2). But let’s be honest—even with that, would people really be willing to play through a full story mode from Raditz all the way to Cell Max? A lot of people would probably find it kind of tiring.
WittyUsername wrote: Sat Jan 24, 2026 10:39 pm Can we get SS1 Caulifla while we’re at it. It’s still really weird that she doesn’t have it.
SSJ Caulifla is a strange case, in Legends she's only present a story mode character sheet. It is not really the same situation of Goku and Vegeta (GT) not having their SSJ2 forms cause the anime doesn't explicity show they using it, so I don't know why they jump her base straight to her SSJ2 transformation.

FlpShimizu wrote: Thu Dec 11, 2025 4:41 pm I gave up on searching custom battles by the number of likes as soon as I noticed they were all about Videl cheating on Gohan with the whole cast or Cabba beating SSJ4 Gogeta.
That made me ROFL

I personally think the new mode might be Sim Dragon 2.0

It's nice that the anime music also applies to Mission 100.
For example, a mission themed around Bardack will play Solid State Scouter.

As for the upcoming DLC, given how many characters there are when the trailer only insists on three of them (and probably some we haven't even seen even in short glimpses in the trailer), there's probably going to be quite a bunch of costumes beyond Gohan's movie 9 gi, especially since costumes are easier to create than completely new characters!

Until summer, they really have time to add a certain number of costumes.
Priority will probably be given to clothes that the characters actually wore at some point in the story rather than artwork-exclusive looks.
For example Goku's epilogue costume, Vegeta's Bad Man shirt, Krilin's Tacos shirt, etc, Kid Trunks and Goten's DBS casual clothes, Gohan and Goku's "Days Off Before The Cell Game" costumes, etc.

Costumes could possibly be rewards to earn in the new single player mode that comes with the DLC.

I've noticed there are some missions made specifically for characters yet to be added. There's one that's custom-made for Paikuhan, the one that's Otherworld Vandals or something like that.

Also, Janemba's colors are a perfect match for the Demon Realm's stage, it's amazing, he blends perfectly with the background. I'm wondering what Daima could've been like if instead of goofy giant Gomah, something more akin to Janemba appeared when he tried the 3rd Eye.

On the topic of playing the same story mode... Yeah, the SNES veteran that I am, sure, I feel lot of fatigues around this franchise for obvious reasons as GT was brand new thing for me back in the day.

On the other hand, the fatigue was a general thing back in the day, when games got released yearly and most notably Budokai and Tenkaichi.
What was released as a sequel back then, is done by updates and mainly, DLCs nowadays.
Also, there was barely anything new or revolutional added.
I wouldn't mind to relive the story again in updated presentation. The story grew beyond the original shows with two spin-offs and movies, we've got the full story presentation just in Kakarot.
With all it's downfalls, I did like the branching and how they handled what-ifs in Sparking Zero, my only gripe with it is, I want mooooore!
I'd like to play story mode with Z Trunks (who I consider the same character as Super Trunks), or Hit, continue through Broly and Super Hero.
FighterZ, Street Fighter 6, Mortal Kombat: Funky_Strudel

Data miners have found 7 additional characters that are likely saved for a future DLC pack:

Chi-Chi from the 23rd Tenkaichi.
Vados (makes sense considering Champa is in).
General Blue (was in BT3).
Yamu (the skinny guy who was with Spopovich).
Nova Shenron (was also in BT3).
Shin (was also in BT3)
Kibito (this is surprising).

Considering the last season was three packs, what was announced last week could be the first of three packs, with the above characters making up all or the majority of the second pack. Between the missing characters from BT3 to the characters who never made it into the series, as well as all the new characters coming from Moro and Granola, this came may end up having a very long life span.

It seems there's gonna be a lot of Dragonball representation.

Son Gohan
Tao Pai Pai
Piccolo Daimao
Akkuman
Chichi
General Blue

I guess now I need to know if they are adding Kid Krilin and Tenshinhan with another moveset (the million arms attack!), and of course a pre-Z adult Goku. A more hand-to-hand combat focused and less ki-focused Goku. Well, not if they are adding them, but when.

The only justification I can think of for including Kibito in this game is so he and Shin can do the Potara fusion. The previous games treated Kibito Kaioshin as a transformation, rather than a fusion, so this would fix that.

I'd love to get Cyborg Tao and Shen (Kami) so that we can recreate the entire 23rd Tenkaichi.

This is exactly what I think they're doing. If these two are coming together, then I assume Kibitokai will be in the same pack as well.

Shin and Kibito would be cool because they can fuse into Kibitokai, but couldn't Kibito just be a NPC for the Kibitokai transformation?

He could, but considering Tenkaichi is known for including everyone under the sun, it's not out of place to see him here. There aren't too many main characters left to pull from, so we should expect to see more smaller characters like him moving forward.

If he's not part of a story mode (and he is), I don't get Yamu much... he's OK as part of Spopovich's ultimate, more so, he didn't do much anyway. Might the data be from his model already being in the game? Who knows how the architecture works. With Kibito, I can see him used in similar way, either as part of some of Shin's attacks involving teleportation or just as an potara animation fodder for fusion into Kibitoshin Kai.

Otherwise, super happy if they will release all these (unless they will stay in code as scrapped concepts).
Si Xing Long is a must, Kaioshin is always welcome aaaaand 23rd Budokai Chi-Chi?! Hell yeah! Blue is also a nice return.
Besides some costumes, Kid Krillin version (Yamcha is also just a costume with Z moveset), we are just missing Pilaf Machine and hell, if there will be huge machine character from DB, I'd love to have that boss mech piloted by Black, to have some more RR representation and Android 8!

I am just not really excited for Vados, at least, Whis was seen in some fighting during trainings, but if it brings in her funny one-liner quips, yes!
I do like the voice actress of Nico Robin as well.

Bit sad that Garlic Jr. has just his powered-up form. Also hope, that Broly will get his Movie 10 variant costume.

In terms of stages, I've seen that there are other stages in the data files. I only remember Kame House (shop/edit screen), Capsule Corp (main screen), Space (story mode screen) and I think the ice stage, but I'm not sure. I assume Kami's lookout should be there too, since it's the Shenron screen.

Unfortunately, I don't think we'll ever get the original Tenkaichi Budokai Stage. :x

New V jump scan confirms Hell Fighter 17 is a new character and Super 17 is a fusion between him and Android 17.

That seems more than a little unnecessary and a waste of a GT slot, (did Hell Fighter 17 even do anything of note?), but it adds credence to the idea that Kibito will be a separate character in this game as well.
