In the manga, it’s very straightforward. Just read the original story and then move on to Super. If you’re still craving more, you can check out side projects like Dragon Ball SD or Neko Majin Z.
For the anime, watch Dragon Ball, then Kai, then Daima, followed by Super and its movies, and finish with GT. If you prefer, you can substitute Kai for Z (I think they’re interchangeable here).
It won’t line up perfectly, but it’s still a fun experience.
