Dragonball Movie Update! What is UP with this?

The suspense hurts

I think the images are definitely fake, either that or they have a really crap camera.

How would somebody get hold of the trailer anyhow? The first place it will be aired is likely to be a cinema trailer, or less likely on a big screen at a meeting place for anime fans like a convention.

These just look like somebody with way too much time on their hands, and a shoddy camera.

It's not real unless it's taken at 320x240 on a cell phone camera by someone who's obviously so cool that they need to take said blurry pictures under such extreme circumstances just for the sake of sharing it on the intartubez!

A ton of rumors have been saying that it will first show up in the X Files: I Want to Believe previews, which comes out today...and it just so happens that I am going to go and see the X Files movie in the next hour!

So As soon as I get home I'll tell you all if I see anything. And I'll also make sure to get there early enough to see the "First Look" thing they play a half hour before the movie starts.

Alright guys, I just saw the X Files movie and guess what...nothing!

That's right no trailer, promo, advertisement or "Regal: First Look" for Dragonball. Sadly I feel like I just wasted 8 bucks seeing that I chose to see X Files over Dark Knight just for the hopes of seeing a teaser. The movie itself was OK, as long as you liked the absurd Sci-Fi style of the original show.

So pretty much, we'll just have to keep our ears open for new on when we finally will get to see a trailer.

That's upsetting, but at least I won't have my hopes up. Was the movie as good as the original show? I've been worried that it will feel stale after all these years. But I still watch reruns of the show from time to time (they show up at like 5 on F/X or TNT or something, and I'm up that early half the time for work), and I still enjoy them.

Honestly, guys, there's no need to go see a movie just to find out whether the trailer's there or not. When the trailer does pop up, the news, phone pictures and clips, and testaments will be ALL over the rest of the internet.

Japan has first dibs on everything, from what I hear, to expect to see a Japanese trailer before on in American theaters appears.

Well I was seeing X-Files anyway. I'm a little apprehensive due to lackluster trailers, but I liked the series.

It's all Fox. Obviously a moot point, but it wouldn't have been the oddest thing. I mean, i got a Step Brother's trailer with Hellboy II.

Possibly, but we really don't know yet. All we have a few few contextless screencaps, no sign of Piccolo, and a couple posters that are advertising this movie in different lights.

Once we see some of this in motion, then we can start making more accurate guesses. While I think that you may be right, I hope this turns out better than that.

Y'know, I think I'll just stop there. Got distracted, and I'm not really sure where I was going with it. I'll just say this, so far, is an unfounded, illogical prediction. We know it's going have some differences from the manga, which is to be mostly expected in the transition to a serious live-action. But for all intents and purposes, it could end up being a good or successful movie all on its own. So far, it looks that way to me.

Adaptations that bad tend to go straight to DVD these days. This one actually has some muscle behind it, and people working on it who want it to not suck.

So let's at least wait for a trailer before calling doom on the damn thing.
