Crossover that should happen

I am curious to see which crossover member wish could happen. At the moment the latest crossover we got was with Dragon Ball, One Piece and Toriko. I know in DBS we got Arale, but does that count as a crossover, I assume that Arale and Goku are from the same universe.

I think a crossover between Dragon Ball, Dragon Quest: The Adventure of Dai and Digimon would be good.

Aside from the obvious ideas, some of which have already been mentioned, such as Naruto, if I try to think about this, there are a lot of similarities between Dragon Ball's main cast and Inuyasha's.

Inuyasha and his half brother Sesshomaru are basically the strongest characters in their universe. Inuyasha is good hearted from the start, Sesshomaru gets better over time, and he eventually recognizes Inuyasha's value. In a nutshell, they defeat Naraku and his plethora of henchmen, they collect pieces of some macguffin along the way, and both of them end up procreating with human girls.

There's even a quarter-demon in the follow-up series to parallel Dragon Ball's own quarter-saiyan (yeah, yeah, that's a generation off because shenanigans, but still).

Bonus points for Kirara, a flying animal who can shapeshift (to some extent). And Miroku can be the necessary perverted character.

I think Goku would get along with Inuyasha. I'm not so sure about Vegeta and Sesshomaru, though. Freeza would one-shot Naraku. Kagome would fit just right in with Bulma and Chi-Chi. Miroku would easily team up with Muten. Shippo could be a friend to Goten and Trunks. Too bad Kagura died, I could see her become friends with Android 18.

A crossover might work if they pursue the demon angle, like Daima but in the Sengoku era. Though I could see the confusion if they kept on saying "Sengoku" and "Son Goku". Then again, there's a "Goku" even in the Japanese name of the Ultra Instinct, so I don't really know.

Still, this was a nice mind exercise, thanks for the idea!

When Sesshomaru got the Bakusaiga, which bypasses regeneration, I remember thinking this was the perfect weapon for Majin Buu.

There was a Journey to the West episode in the anime where a character was called Goku, if I remember correctly.

I'm not interested in any Dragon Ball crossovers as I feel like not many series would blend with it. I do think it was cool that a recent Dragon Quest mobile game did a collab with Dragon Ball given Toriyama's connections with the two. So that's works. But, Dragon Ball crossovers with Marvel or DC, or any other big IP just doesn't vibe with me.

Better late than ever. I’ve always preferred the original Alien because it leans more into horror, whereas Aliens shifts toward action. I feel similarly about The Terminator and Terminator 2, although in that case James Cameron directed both films.

Yeah, it's funny, because I think the switch to action works for T2, but on Aliens it just felt like a distraction. Ripley's arc is kind of mishandled in Aliens, too, and it kind of just clashes with the rah-rah commando popcorn feel of the film. Lemme just focus on Ripley and the girl and keep it a smaller, intimate story without scene-after-scene of action movie shots with the side characters.

Anyhoo, Dragon Ball! Yeah! It's a thing that exists and crossing over with something better would be a cool way of elevating the material if done without capitalist overlords trying to keep the production staff from making something cool! lol

Watching Invincible now, a Great Saiyaman x Invincible comic/manga is something I would love to see.

I've always wanted to see Cross Epoch Dragon Ball x Dragon Quest.

For those not familiar, Oda and Toriyama collaborated on a one-shot manga, in which characters and elements from both the Dragon Ball world and One Piece world were combined together in a unique, alternate universe, in which the characters assumed new, different roles. It was really fun, and I think if they did something like that with Dragon Quest, it would also make a great JRPG.
