This being the final Nozawa DB project she works on as Goku & most of the Son family. Don't get me wrong I absolutely love her voice as them but she's spent almost half her life at this point playing them & i think she deserves a break from it & would love for her to take a rest & have a new JP VA (or JP VAs) play Goku & most of the Son family if it renews for a 2nd cour

I don't Nozawa is going to retire before its her time to join Toriyama in heaven. At most they get New VAs for Gohan, Goten and leave her as Goku.Doctor Seaweed Roll wrote: Fri Apr 10, 2026 2:25 pm This being the final Nozawa DB project she works on as Goku & most of the Son family. I haven't finished Super yet, even to the point where I made sure to read some posts in here in entirety to avoid spoilers. Main thing I wanted to say is that while I am enjoying Super, I really don't like the Master Roshi gags. I'd rather have those taken out entirely.

Re: What changes would you like to see in DBS Remake
Since this is an enhanced edition rather than a completely new anime, I wonder how far they'll go with extra presentation, aside from what we've seen with the redrawing when needed and new scenes.
For example:
- will they completely change the music or use the soundtrack of the "normal edition", just having more tracks available from the start?
- will they create a new opening? Just use the originals as they are? Just redo the animation but keep the original songs? Use brand new songs with brand new openings? Or just skip the creation of any opening for what is basically only 6 episodes from what we know, with just basically a title screen like the movies or like "Plan to Eradicate the Super Saiyans"?
- same questions regarding the ending. Use the original? Use the songs but redo the animation? Redo it all from scratch? Or skip it with just quick credits on a black screen? (see the end of the Episode of Bardack)
I'm really curious about the overall presentation: since the content of the episodes will follow a logic of "what can we keep basically as it is, what can we correct and what should we totally redo from scratch?", will they follow the same logic for the music, the opening, the ending and the eyecatches?

Seeing as Kai got new intro songs, I feel this remake will get them too. Not only to differentiate it from the original, it's also a way to make more money.

One of the goals of this project is to produce a version of the show that will better line up with Moro and what comes after, so I expect a completely new soundtrack to be composed that will carry over into Moro and the following arcs. As for the opening and ending, considering that this series will likely only last 52 episodes, I expect them to produce one new opening and ending that covers the entire 52 episode run.Cold Skin wrote: Sun Apr 12, 2026 4:35 pmwill they completely change the music or use the soundtrack of the "normal edition", just having more tracks available from the start? will they create a new opening? same questions regarding the ending.
Even though it's been 3 months since it was announced, I still can't believe they're actually taking the time to correct their mistakes; Super now looks like a respectable series that can stand alongside DB & Z. When rumors were going around about this, I thought at most they'd re-cut the original footage and call it a day; I never thought they'd actually go back to the drawing board and fix the show from the ground up. Between Super 2.0 and Daima, Dragon Ball is finally getting the sequel it deserves.
Re: What changes would you like to see in DBS Remake
I think one thing they should correct but might forget again is that they forgot to explain why Pilaf and his friends are kids again in the show. A dialogue explained it in the movie, but a similar dialogue never happens in the DBS series, leaving viewers who haven't seen the movie wondering why they are depicted as children when they're not supposed to be.

Vegeta should think about Glorio right before he does his final explosion against Toppo.
Re: What changes would you like to see in DBS Remake
I would like to see Goku and Vegeta train more for them to become SSJ God Blue as i feel they reached that transformation too quickly
References to Daima if Daima was created by Akira Toriyama Daima then should be connected to Super making references to Daima and explaining why Goku and Vegeta dont transform into SSJ3 and SSJ4 throughout all of Super
Zamasu should be defeated by Future Trunks and not by Zeno intervention

Re: What changes would you like to see in DBS Remake
^ The only reason possible for them not to transform into SS3 for Vegeta (despite a fit of rage that would surely make him do so even if he had chosen to avoid that form) and SS4 for Goku is that it never happened.
If the anime staff wants to make it clear, they'll include the line from the manga from Goku stating clearly to Beerus he has absolutely no transformation beyond Super Saiyan 3.
Finding a good reason for Kaio Shin and Kibito to have separated and yet be united again because apparently dumb enough to fall into the same trap twice is also unlikely.
They like to keep Daima, Super and GT separated so that each has full freedom and no farfetched logic between them to find, no restaints due to "this happens in the future / in that other non-Z show you might have not kept up with".
Three different continuities, maximum freedom.
This is well represented in Sparking Zero as the Super versions have no idea of who the characters from Daima or what the forms from Daima even are, being like "what is that? Never seen that before!"
Zen-o must be the one to defeat the now-impossible-to-defeat-because-infinite Zamasu to clearly show how his unlimited power must be feared for the next arc and why calling your good friend to solve things should never be tried again, since there's a 99% chance he'll obliterate the world you were trying to save in doing so.
The "calling Zen-o" event is basically setting up the next threat that not even an impossible infinite "I am the whole universe now" being can counter, while dealing with the enemy that has cheated his way beyond the final defeat indeed inflicted by Trunks, winner of this arc.
Zamasu HAS been dealt the final blow by Trunks. His infinite comeback is just a post-defeat final dirty trick supposed to be unavoidable and yet shown to be nothing for Zen-o.

That's really sad. I know people want to get to Moro right away but giving the animators the time they need while they animate it would be better.

Re: What changes would you like to see in DBS Remake
Aside from the enhanced visuals and better pacing they are promising. Well, I was expecting an animated Super much closer to what is seen in the manga. Well, now I believe it's more likely just the same TV Super we already got, but shortened, very similarly to how was done to Kai, it wasn't exactly faithful to the original manga, they just trimmed it so it could “feel like” the manga, but it's essentially still the same 90's Z. Same will be done to Super, but with the extra of renewed visuals and animation sequences, and not just some half-assed redraws or the addition of a ugly filter like Kai did. So I'm very skeptical now that we'll see stuff like SSG Goku before the ToP, SSJG Vegeta, SSJ Goku Black, Infinite Zamasu being several clones of his physical body instead of his consciousness fused with the universe, Beerus vs Hakaishins, Gohan vs Kefla, etc.
(I wish they at least made LSSJ Kale have the same design from the manga though, I really dislike how the anime version is just Broly with boobs, but they'll very likely keep that, so I have to accept lol)
That said, I only expect 2 things from the Super remake now:
1- Do as planned, restart Super to make the order of its storyline coherent in one single media, so everyone can follow it the same way it was done with Toriyama's original manga (or the DB anime + Kai), a single serialization, easy to follow. So start this way, and end this way with the ToP before jumping into the Moro arc. Maybe include the Broly arc in the middle too, but I would accept if they decided to skip it, it would require only one story stuck in a specific different media for people to see, which was a movie (The Z anime did this as well, to understand the Garlic Jr. arc, you have to watch his movie, and maybe the Tullece movie as well)
It's not the ideal in my opinion, but I would accept it, but finish the remake at the ToP at least, and release it before Moro.
Please do not stop at Champa as the current rumours are suggesting that can happen, that will completely ruin the purpose of this remake. Make everything perfect, do not skip arcs, do not jump to the future and return to the past, just do the basics, what the original Super anime did and what the manga did starting from Champa. Then we'll have the definitive way to experience Super.
2- Address Daima in some way, Daima is correctly placed before Super Remake when it comes to both narrative and release orders, so you won't have to retell it. The problem is that Daima was created after the original Super, so there are clear divergences which, regardless of the remake, will still make many people confused, leading to the belief that Daima may be set in a separate continuity / timeline.
So to avoid this, they simply need to explain what happened, they don't even need to show anything visually (there must still be people who expect that the remake will have Goku transforming into SSJ4, which I respectfully believe is insane). Just explain it through a short dialogue, I don't mind if it will be a half-assed explanation, just make us sure that Daima did happen and Goku used a SSJ4.
I don't even think they need to address SSJ3 Vegeta, given how Kaioh immediately warns Vegeta about Beerus easily defeating Goku, this would convince Vegeta that the SSJ3 would be useless against Beerus, it would even make sense with SSJ3 Vegeta draining himself in Daima, he would have that in mind. Plus, after this arc, we will never see SSJ3 being relevant ever again anyway. I'll be completely fine with enraged SSJ2 Vegeta still being somehow stronger. And Daima coming after the original Super does its homework by connecting itself to it.
That's all. Only do these two things, and we'll have Modern Dragon Ball making complete sense from A to Z in one single media. Daima will be just a separate anime, but still coming before Super Beerus, resulting in a perfect order both by release and by chronology.
Do only the first and then, okay, only Super will make perfect sense. Daima will stay as a separate Dragon Ball made by Toriyama that doesn't really connect to anything but the original manga and uses a few concepts from GT and Super. Which I would be fine with, DB Online was another “sequel” made by Toriyama too and it doesn't connect to Daima nor Super. We'll have three Toriyama Dragon Ball continuations (or 4 if we consider the "Original Super")
