Standard edition pre-orders are also back up on Amazon, and One Piece 14-9 has returned to the Crunchyroll storefront as "back-ordered" with an expected ship date of late July. So who knows what's going on at this point. Maybe the July date is real, a whole slew of DB Daima Funko Pops are also slated to drop that month and I swear to the green slug man upstairs if they delayed the set to coincide with a merch drop I'm going to lose it...

How would you feel if the delay was because they replaced Nadolny with Clickenbierd?

If Crunchyroll didn't redub Vic Mignogna's Broly lines they won't redub Stephanie Nadolny.songohan619 wrote: Wed Apr 29, 2026 9:57 am How would you feel if the delay was because they replaced Nadolny with Clickenbierd?
Do you have any info about international non-English broadcasts about the Dragon Ball anime or manga translations/editions? Please message me. Researching for a future book with Dragon Ball scholar Derek Padula

In order to replace a single actor's lines, you'd need:
- The actor themselves
- A director
- A recording engineer
- An editor
- A production master
- Repressing of discs
- Reprinting of collateral
- Redistribution of final packaged discs

I was asking why they would replace her to begin with, not whether or not it's cheap to do so, which it isn't as explained by VegettoEX.

In my defense I had assumed the dvd's werent out yet but yeah this is pretty much a bunch of nails on that coffin.
Re: "Dragon Ball Daima" Crunchyroll Home Release Thread
There's no way they'd redub Nadolny's lines. Her return was a huge selling point of Daima's dub, as many fans had long wanted to hear her play Goku again. They even went as far as having her voice Daima Goku in the video games.
Unfortunately I still haven't got to hear her full performance, as Daima's dub isn't available to watch in the UK. I was holding out for a UK Blu-ray at first, but there was no mention of it even before the US version got delayed. I'll likely grab the US release when it eventually happens.

Unless someone from inside CR is going to break NDA to explain the situation, we'll just have to keep wondering what was up with the delay. I think my "Toei is taking a break from home media" theory is shot because VIZ just announced a full series set for Sailor Moon Crystal and I'm sure Discotek will announce Digimon Tamers HD soon-ish. Hopefully everything will work out in the end and hopefully we end up getting at least Moro on BD down the line.

I agree that it's highly unlikely that they redubbed Goku, I was just interested in your thoughts on IF they did that
Stephany played Daima Goku in Legends, but Clickenbierd plays Daima Goku in the most recent Legends-update.

Probably because that may have lined up with Nadolny's recent stint in jail.songohan619 wrote: Thu Apr 30, 2026 7:52 pm I agree that it's highly unlikely that they redubbed Goku, I was just interested in your thoughts on IF they did that

I noticed it's back up for pre-order on Amazon as well. They better deliver this time!ricecake wrote: Tue Apr 21, 2026 7:28 am I meant to post this a few weeks ago, but they actually acknowledged the delay on the announcement page (it was updated March 27). The links to the Daima product pages still give a 404 error though.

I wonder if I have to cave in and actually order this version, if I want Daima. I have been waiting for a french version but there is not even news on the french dub...Mr Baggins wrote: Fri May 01, 2026 11:45 pmI noticed it's back up for pre-order on Amazon as well.
