I've got the email addresses for the two heads of Adult Swim UK/Europe, from the meeting I had with them in October, they had no plans to relaunch toonami in uk. That was before TLC was announced to be changing tho, may have changed. they seemed very interested in my idea though, i think my passion of ocean kai finally being released showed![]()
let's hope something happens ie tlc, and hopefully in march when hbo max launches, they'll have ocean kai

Re: History of Dragon Ball in the UK and Ireland
Looks like we haven't seen the last of Dragon Ball on UK traditional TV yet as its coming to GREAT! Action on May 5th. It will also be streaming unsurprisingly. This is another Narrative Entertainment channel, and they are apparently airing the censored version, likely because that's what was leftover from Pop.
Do you have any info about international non-English broadcasts about the Dragon Ball anime or manga translations/editions? Please message me. Researching for a future book with Dragon Ball scholar Derek Padula

Funny may 5th (same date toonami relaunched on cnx in 2003 with dbz with much less cuts.) I will hope my fingers crossed great tv do decide something more in terms of anime than iplayer db super and pokemon toyline stuff.

Unfortunately there's no way to contact them either... as the website for Narrative Entertainment (who own Great Action!) hasnt been updated since 2025...
and yes it seems theyll be airing the censored version as that is what is on their streaming app. probs remnant from their Pop deal (Pop was owned by NE too)

That's cool to see.Dragon Ball Ireland wrote: Fri May 01, 2026 3:40 pm Looks like we haven't seen the last of Dragon Ball on UK traditional TV yet as its coming to GREAT! Action on May 5th. I guess Super must've done well for Pop if this channel chose to pick it up.
I've said it before, but it's a shame Kai never got any reruns after Kix. The Final Chapters never even got to air here, and even the Android/Cell arcs didn't get as much exposure as they should've, due to Kix weirdly stopping airing them for a while, and then finally airing them again at a 9pm timeslot only.
We know Kai has the potential to pull in great ratings, but I wouldn't be surprised if Kix constantly jumping back to Raditz hurt its performance. Like every time there were school holidays, the schedule would shift, and they'd jump back to Raditz prematurely.
I bet the fans who watched Super on Pop would've loved a chance to watch Kai.

Looks like that reddit post expired as it says mod removed it.Dragon Ball Ireland wrote: Fri May 01, 2026 3:40 pm Looks like we haven't seen the last of Dragon Ball on UK traditional TV yet as its coming to GREAT! i've recommended that the marketing team join this server to increase engagement!
hopefully this gets a huge reception. not sure how i'll actually watch on the day as i don't have a TV at university- so may just have to be on demand for me.
i've asked if it will be censored or uncensored so will let you know
