Hello lovely people from the internet! After procastinating for a bit i made myself this question and wanted to talk with you guys regarding this topic animation wise.
In this post I'm trying to expand on Carthu no Dojo's YouTube video `What's going on with Dragon Ball Super's "Remake"?` He thinks Toei is going to re animate all the previous arcs (Including T.O.P) and make some small plot points to fix the story a bit reducing inconsistencies.
He takes into account leaks that they will only reanimate until the U6 vs U7 tournament arc, so therefore, I expect the following "roadmap":
1.- Beerus / Frieza
2.- Moro
3.- Black / T.O.P.
4.- Granolah
5.- Future stuffs
I think we can ignore Future Stuffs, but at least for me, this seems a realistic way to re animate so they can buy some time to animate the Moro and Granolah Arcs
I would love Moro arc to have the T.O.P treatment and be ~50 episodes long, or be longer than most arcs. I made some *REALLY ROUGH* calculations on how many hours they would actually be working on the animation:
- Work day: 9 hrs. (Assuming overtime)
- Starting on: January 25 2026 (Started Production Confirmation during Genkidamatsuri)
- Max release date for DBS Beerus: August 29 2026 (Last Saturday of Japan's Summer, assuming it will release on Saturdays)
Here I will assume DBS Beerus will have 20 episodes:
- Beerus: 6 (I think this number was confirmed)
- Golden Frieza: 6 (unconfirmed)
- U6 vs U7: 12 (unconfirmed)
Therefore, DBS Beerus should be out of episodes on: January 16 2027
That's around 245 work days, in hours would be 2205 work hours (Disregarding initial stages stated here: https://www.kanzenshuu.com/animation-pr ... n/process/), How many episodes you think they will be able to make until then? And after Moro is released, how much time they will have to work on the Granolah arc?
Another interesting sub-topic is: How much time will have Toyotaro to make future arcs?
For reference, this is how long each arc post-anime was in the manga:
- Moro: 42 - 67 (25 total)
- Granolah: 67 - 87 (20 total)
- Super Hero: 88 - 104 (16 total)
Assuming he has to make the *last* arc around 20 chapters, then he should be already start getting back to serialization (Note: I think i readed somewhere he already had some work in advance regarding DBS's next arc, but I'm not sure if this is real.).
Of course this is if we are taking into account an anime which will have continous serialization and take the least amount and shorter breaks possible.
I think that if Toyotaro wants to make more than 2 arcs they will have to long breaks to give him time to get ahead, but making maybe a larger size arc maybe could also be a feasible option to make the anime get shorter breaks. But either way, he HAS to start to post NOW, there will be no better time to start serializing the manga again (At least IMO):
You might notice already but don't really know much about the animation / manga industry, that's why I came here hoping someone who knows more about this topic could help to answer the question. Either way thanks a lot if you readed the whole thing! Please share your thought regarding this!
