Unfortunately, I think you're asking for a bit more than what these games actually. They're supposed to emulate mmos. So a lot of what I've seen of the game looks par for the course. At least as far as the Xenoverse games go.

The number of times Toriyama/big Dragon Ball(tm) has written over something else is so large that it shouldn't be surprising if this version of AGE 1000 conflicts with DBO or XV2.

We have how many versions of Super? How many post Boo continuations that conflict in some fashion (GT, Super, Neko Majin, DBO, XV, Heroes, Daima)?

The original manga is sacred, and the anchor which every other story will gravitate around. Some stories may have continuity with each other, however they won't ALL have continuity amongst each other, but they certainly all will have continuity with the original manga.

That actually made me feel better, in the sense that I might enjoy this game more if I just turn off my brain into such inconsistencies.

In dragon ball online it got to the point in the future where several humans were part saiyan. Possible here since we are over 140 year's in the future. But more than likely with all the dialogue we've seen of John having no memory this is an isekai story and it's just never explained.

The main character can't be human and transform into Super Saiyan, that would render the Saiyan race redundant. So either he's a Saiyan, or they're merging the human and Saiyan races together.

We are seeing people like Tap with tails in age 1000 future. That means a he is likely to be human with saiyan blood.

Like I said before, the tails are probably synthetic. It's there because people asked for them in XV2. It's unlikely a human would retain the tail but not the black hair (which he didn't).

Trunks didn't have black hair. I doubt that a NPC in story mode just wears a fake cosmetic tail. Player characters it makes sense. But a main character actually in story mode, nah. What is the in story reason for a npc to have a fake tail? I guess fashion in the school?

Anyway, NPCs are in a living, breathing world. They (can) have their own lives and whatnot, I'm sure they can have a synthetic tail if they want to. It makes the world more authentic. There's no need for a story reason, it's there because people wanted it.

They didn't need to with the time travel aspect.

But he's not wearing it, at least not in the marketing he hasn't been shown with a tail so far. But it seems players might be able to put a tail in him.

What, a Namekuseijin and Majin hybrid race? That would be random, I guess. You can combine Saiyans and humans since they're similar. Though that would go against people's wish for "more races!".

YouTuber makes a case for the cooldown. Honestly, it isn't something I feel strongly about either way. But this makes a pretty good point about how broken combat can be when you're allowed to just spam the same super over and over.
